I hear this complaint all the time that they are way to over paid for the job they do.I think people fail to see all that athletes do and what they earn is respectable. By far athletes make their "bosses" tons of money and probably considerably alot more then most people make their bosses on a daily basis. Take a basketball player for instance he most likely shoots a ball from when he wakes up til he falls asleep over 200 times a day. Then on top of all the work just think how many seat are sold because of this athlete and how much appearl with the teams logo is sold per week. I jus think athletes male their bosses alot more money then people think . What are your guys feelings on this topic?

It's true that they must have worked very hard for this, but I just can't say that I agree with you. These athletes just entertain an audience, in the end you can't say that they are doing anything important. The people watch them play their sport and nothing good is gained from that. I could get the same kind of entertainment from doing other, more simpler things, yet they make millions of dollars. In my opinion, the money could be better used elsewhere.
Yes, it is true that they must have practiced a lot and that they have worked a lot, but other people with other jobs can work just as hard, doing more important things and get payed less. Does getting a ball into a basket help society in any way? In the end, I would say that although very popular and a good pastime, sports are meaningless and they shouldn't need to work so hard, anyway. It's just a game, and so they shouldn't be making so much money. They shouldn't have made such a big deal out of this, anyway.

Yes they do work hard but we could still spread out the money a little bit better. Think about it there are plenty of players making like millions of dollars every year. There's also people with nothing at all and are starving. I do agree that they do work hard and we could still pay them a pretty good amount but I do believe that we could cut down their paychecks just a little bit. A lot of athletes do donate to a lot of charities though and that's always a great thing to see.
