Do you work as a prt timer while studying? How much do you earn? is it sufficient to cover your expenses?

I do not do part-time job while studying. I just studied hard and got scholarship. I think it would be more valuable than how much money we earn. Scholarship will cover the expenses... Cheers!

Studying hard at the same time is important, but what if the person did not acquire any scholarship for his or her studies? It will be a hard time for he or she to continue her study in peace due to lack of funds in book purchasing and paying for the living cost.

I am no longer studying but when I was yes I did work part time. This was to help get way form my studies as you do need a break otherwise your brain will just be overcome with just your subjects and nothing else. I didnt do it for the money, at the time I was living with parents so didnt really need to support myself. With my paycheck I made sure my parents were okay and then saved the rest and I am so gald I did otherwise where I am living now would have nothing in it but I have carpets, a sofa, cooker, TV, king sozed bed, 2 cots, a single bed, a beautiful fireplace, all the usual stuff, but it was all bought out of my money that I had saved!

That sounds quite an amount of money. What did you do that time?

I just worked in a shop I gave my mum around £100 per month and saved the rest. I have been earning properly since I was 16 and always took overtime, saved it all and it paid off. I had around £9,000 in savings

I worked full-time throughout my college career. At certain times during the year I would hold two jobs, as well as going to school as a full-time student. It was extremely difficult, but I was completely independant and living on my own. In the end, I still accrued thousands in debt. It was extremely frustrating when most of my college friends rarely worked. Bills needed to be paid though. I am very happy I stuck with it and never gave up. I would recommend working while going to school to anyone. Not only does it give you a better chance at financial stability, it gives you a small break from the drone of the school bubble. You get to breath reality while at work. In school, particularly higher levels such as college, people tend to lose common sense as time continues to pass. They forget what it is like to have a job outside the educational realm. It makes the transition to a career more difficult after graduation. Plus, small luxuries like pop tarts save the day during all nighters and final weeks of cramming. :) If you look for a job, even a pt one, try to search near campus. The less commute the better. Also, be upfront about your dedication to school, your employer will be more likely to offer you flexible work hours. When all else fails, look for jobs at school. You might be able to work before or in between class; and maybe sneak in some hmwrk during downtime. Working while being a student is not easy! But it is far from impossible. Just prioritize your schedule and try to stick to a budget.

Wow, i salute that. It sure sounds really hard to study and work at the same time. I bet you are much more matured than your pals at school.Exposing yourself earlier to the world has gained you valueble experience. Which i was very lack off at this moment. I lost my touch to the world when i am on holiday.Maybe i should change my mindset to explore outside more bravely. Thanks for your sharing and advice!!: )
