Whose Put Up Their Christmas Decorations Already?

Have started, but have not finished yet. You asked why? One word ... kids! As soon as the kids see the neighbor's lights go up, they want ours up too. My kid told me over the weekend that we should have our tree put up as well, because he already saw trees in the mall. That I said will have to wait until I get time to do it. I don't seem to have too much enthusiasm knowing that I am also the one bringing them down afterwards.

I have put up the Christmas tree and the lights around it and some decors but it's not yet finished. I put it up last Sunday night which was the first Sunday of Advent. Then I put up some stockings altthough we don't have a chimney and it's not snowing either, I'm in the tropics LOL. I will put up the other decorations as the days pass on. The only thing is that my cat keeps on playing with the lights and the decors hanging around the tree.

I haven't put up any Christmas decorations because I don't have any where I live. My partner and I just moved in together and we don't have a tree or any decorations so we can't decorate yet. I'm planning on trying to go out sometime this week and get a tree and some decorations so we can put them up and start making this place look a little more homey and holiday like. I'm trying to find a way to make deocrating for Christmas cheap so I'm going to do a little shopping around to find the best deals.

Hello Cane and welcome to my lot. I usually have our tree up the day after Thanksgiving but this year we decided to wait till later to put it up. We might not even put one up this year. No reason we just like the sight of it all lit up. It makes a nice feeling to see the lights glowing out of the window. We don't really celebrate Christmas but we do put up a tree.

I hardly ever get up the decorations before the 12 days of Christmas. It's crazy. I see all of my neighbors with their lights and blow-up Santas in the front yard, and all my family has up is all of the crazy drawings my siblings made. It's all cute, though. It shows that we are a crafty family!

Hi canesfan..Decorations go up this week. Tree in 2 weeks. I live right on main street, so it's fun to put them up when the village puts the ones up around town. We have a town-wide celbration on the 4th with santa and sleigh rides and ice carvings and all that stuff so most of us in town like to have them up by then. Now the tree I could almost do without and I take it down the day after Christmas when possible. We have 2 cats and one saint bernard. His tail has caused more tree incidents than I care to remember. The cats think it's a good hiding place from him and when he is chasing them through the house they head under the tree. Now I don't know if you have ever seen a saint bernard run, but trust me, they are alot like a loaded semi truck, putting on the brakes does not mean an instant stop, sliding is involved and more often than not..so is my tree!

Oh good god no......If my daughter had her way ours would have been up already. I myself would rather wait till about 2 weeks before christmas. I still have to completely re arange my living room for the tree and everything. I am so not reqdy for christmas and if I decorate, it's kinda like acknowleging that it is comming soon and I am just not ready to think about christmas yet.

A lot of people I know put theirs up the weekend after Thanksgiving but we usually wait until it gets closer to the big day. It takes a lot of work getting our house decorated...inside and out...so my husband and I don't look forward to it. Usually we have help so that's good.

We've just put up our decorations a couple of days ago and our neighbors also. Filipinos are excited during this occasion and puts up their decorations 1 month or more before the occasion.
