For ladies, do you wear earrings? And men, do you prefer us wearing earrings?

There have been a span of time that I didn't wear earring because I was traumatized by the pain fake earrings have done to my ears. But after which, I wear gold or silver earrings only, but only small ones. But earrings do accumulate dirt, and sometimes they itch. I've also lost a lot of pairs, and it has cost me a lot. But on my opinion, earrings makes a girl, a girl. It is a sort of distinction somehow, and also a way of expressing oneself. What do you think?

Well, I'm a woman and I wear 10 earrings. I like piercings, and I can't imagine myself without wearing them, I'd feel kind of naked. It's true that when I was a teenager I stopped wearing earrings and the 2 holes I got after being born had closed, so I had to reopen them again, but now I'm happy that I got back to wearing earrings. If course they accumulate dirt, but as we take care of our body and clothes hygiene, we have to do so with earrings

I prefer ladies to wear simple and small earrings than big earrings. I hate the look of a lady that wears big earrings. It looks like a G A Y. Anyway, It's just my opinion. Good Day to all!

yes even i have this problem. My ears badly itch when I wear ear rings. I got severe fungal infection and suffered a lot to get rid of the infection. I rarely use earrings for the fear of infection. But I do love to wear earrings and i also agree it makes a girl look more feminine. I found that the problem is due to nickel allergy and I heard there is treatment in homeopathy to cure allergy and even acupuncture treatment can do good

I think I understand what you mean when you said that earrings make a girl, a girl. To me personally, I feel the same way that you do. I feel that females that wear earrings are more "feminine" in a sense, probably because of what I've been exposed to and the images that I'm use to seeing of a typical girl/lady/woman wearing earrings, whether it be big or small. I wear earrings all the time. I almost never take it off, except to clean every once in a while from all the dirt that accumulates. But for the most part, I agree with your opinion on earrings because I feel the same way.

I am not a fan of having a body part pierced for showing off a piece of jewelery. Having said that we have a ritual where in we do pierce the ear. But, I do definitely do not like to wear a earring though I did put it once for a funny fashion show and felt very annoyed by its presence. My wife likes to wear them and it looks good on her too. Cheers! Ram

I just got my ears pierced last year for my 26th birthday. I had them pierced when I was a young girl but they just kept overlapping and closing up so after a few times of it we decided that I would just go without them being pierced I decided that I wanted them pierced last year because well there was so many great earring that I liked...I still have problems with my ears now and again and have to be very careful when I am wearing them but also have to make sure that I don't go to long without them because then my ears start to close up. I think that while earrings do make you look more lady like I don't believe that they make a girl a girl you can still be very girly without earrings.

Wearing earrings only make a distinction I believe to babies. Especially to the ones who does not have hair that much, parents tend to have their babies wear earrings to make them look more like a girl. For women, I think it really depends on the hairstyle because sometimes women tend to look like a man if they have short hair and their facial features. But once you put earrings on them they will definitely look like a girl already.

Yes, I wear earrings once in awhile and my husband does not care whether I wear them or not. Just because a girl does not wear earrings do not mean they are not a girl not everyone likes to wear jewelry.

I think its true that earrings makes a girl, a girl. But somehow it depends to what kind of earrings you like. What I meant is simple one is more attractive than those too big earrings. I think that kind of earrings make one girl ear pains... I think you may need not to wear it all the time... like while youre just at home... and just clean it all the time to prevent accumulation of dirt.... fake earrings really irritates sensitive skin, youre being a girl is not only with that earrings, I think you may sacrifice wearing an earrings rather than irritating ours ears... simplicity is beautiful!!! youre still beautiful without your earrings!!! have a nice day!!!

it's a girly thing to wear earrings. i wear mine only when i'm leaving the house. i don't wear them at home...i have a practice of taking out all my jewelries when i reach home.. to prevent them from loosing, and to maintain the sparkle of the jewels by not accumulating dirt...yes, earing earrings is a way of expressing oneself...so nowadays even "boys" do wear them.

I think wearing earings would make a girl more attractive and womanly, and it is kind of a enjoyment to see girls wearing earings. I once spared no effort to talk my girlfriend into wearing earrings and she looked amazing wearing them.

I've been wearing earings since I was a child but I never pay attention on them. I almost forget their existence at my ears, so I don't know if I like them or not.

Yes, I wear earrings. I didn't always though. I was always kind of freaked out by them when I was little, but I ended up getting my ears pierced anyway the first time around when I was 9 years old as my (older) sister wanted to get her's pierced (yeah, I admit I was a copycat back then LOL). Shortly after we got our first "real" pair of earrings one of my sister's ears grew over it. Apparently that earring had been put in too tight. My mom had to take my sister to the hospital to get it removed. Let me just say this freaked me out even more than I already was about earrings LOL, so when one of my ears got infected I let both of the holes close up. Neither of us wanted earrings after that, at least not for a few years anyway. Plus we weren't allowed to anyway until we were 18 as our mom put her foot down after what had happened before. So, I didn't get my ears repierced until 9 years later. My sister on the other hand went behind our mom's back and got them repierced a few years before her 18th birthday, the rebel that she was. LOL I only wear the small round hoops nowadays. I've worn big hoops and studs in the past, but with the big hoops I didn't like that heavy feeling it brought to my earlobes and with studs I've lost a few of them when the backs would come off, so I stick to the mini hoops now and they are perfect! I love 'em! Here in the US, at least here in California, earrings aren't just for women and girls anymore. Men started getting them pierced in the '80's, I think, and now it seems to be a popular thing among the school age boys as I've seen quite a few boys around here wearing earrings (not my own, thankfully). I'm kind of old fashioned and think earrings should be left to be worn by women and girls only. Sorry guys! Happy mylotting!

yes i wear ear rings.as a lady i like it more to wear and i will wear daily. i like to wear yellow gold ear rings and i daily wear it without removing it. sometimes at party times i will wear new varieties which are yellow gold only. in india it is a custom to wear ear rings and when a baby girl is born ,there will be a ceremony for wearing ear rings which is grandly celebrated when the baby is one year. i like men also who wear ear rings .but now a days men are wearing ear ring on one ear. thats also fine for me. my husband don;t wear because ,it is not in our custom to wear a ear ring by men and he also obey that and so he don;t wear and he don;t like other men to wear ear rings.

I'm a girl and I got my ears pierced when I was 12. I really liked to wear unique errings, especially black ones. I used to have NIghtmare before christmas earrngs, and dangle-y ones that were shaped like guitars. When I was about 15, I started gauging my ears (streching the holes out with tapers). Today I'm at 2g -its about the size of the diameter of a pencil. ^-^
