I am so glad to learn that I am not the only one that this happens to. Just Tuesday I was cleaning the house because we were expecting guests and I was trying to clean the community parts of the house but I got sidetracked into doing laundry instead because my niece wet her pants and she needed to have something on, so part of the community area of the house was neglected because I got started on washing and folding laundry instead of my intended task.

Honey, I am the Queen of Sidetracked. It used to actually drive me crazy when I used to have to double task at work and now is no different. I get online and get ingrossed on a site and am on there for hours until I realize i was suppose to pick up someone or be elsewhere and I freak. I go in a room and start doing something and get sidetracked doing one thing when I went in there to do something else.

Yes I do! I think the worst was when I went into the kitchen to get another cup of coffee and got so sidetracked it took me over an hour to finally get my coffee but I did get a lot of tidying up done....

It is so easy for me to get side tracked these days, all I need is one interruption and I may not even remember what I was doing before, this is very annoying and is why when I am working I don't want anyone else around.

I get side track very easily when I am cleaning house and the phone rings. After I answer the phone I forget what I am doing. When I was in school I would stay in the library to study because I knew if I stayed at home I would never get any work done. I have a lot of things to do in preparation for Christmas and now I just to need to find the right motivation.

I get side tracked all the time. I get side tracked a lot when I'm reading Wikipedia articles. Another word will pop up and I'll wonder about that, and it'll take me away from what i was origionally researching, then I'll find a word in the next article, and I'll keep moving from one page to another until I end up learning about everything except for what I had originally gone there to leearn. LOL

That does happen to me at times. I would have every intention of doing something but as I am doing that I might start to notice an entirely different thing that has caught my attention so I would be doing the other thing. Hmm, my previous post might be a bit confusing so an example would be organizing my desk. I would take out all the things on my desk, then put the items in order, and maybe arrange and compile the papers first. While doing that I might get to read a paragraph of something then I wont notice that Ive sat down and read all of the notebook. The next thing I would know is that half the day is gone and Ive filled all of the remaining fresh pages of the notebook with new articles and thoughts.

I know what you mean and like you say time always seem to fly by as well.I am like that with the house work as well i tend to start doing the kitchen units and plan todo the whole of the kitchen and then i go off to do the emails and get stuck on the computer and find that i have not done half the things that i wanted todo.

I think that there are alot of people just like us who start doing one thing and always never finish that before doing other things that we need to do.I think i can say that it must be my age aswell as the children do tend to throw me as they always want me for something either that or it is because i have walked past the pc and it was turned on so i have had to see if there were any emails for me.
