I opened an account to Eon since I went for a vacation here, so my hubby transferred some of our hard earned money to my account. My question is, do you also get deducted from them when you send an amount like $20.00. Coz when we checked, hubby does not get to be deducted sending me, but when I receive the amount, i get a deduction of 1.08 already. Is there a way to not get any deductions on receiving an amount? Hope you can enlighten me about this. I need more information.

Yes ofcourse, Payapl does charge. But as you mentioned that your hsuband did not get any fees deduction while sending you money, so i guess in that case, paypal did not charge him anything. However, the amount was charged at your end. So did he transfer it to your paypal account? Well it happens when you are making a business transaction. It also happens when someone sends money to an unverified account. However, if the transaction is made to your bank account, then Paypal does charge some amount close to 1$ as the charges and there are some extra charges from the bank side. I have made transactions from paypal to my credit card twice and both the times, Paypal charged me 5$ and then there were additional charges close to some 2$ by the bank. However, since I am a verified member, I did not get any fees deducted when i had to send money to a different paypal account. But I got chrged in cases when someone made a business transaction to my account which charged me 0.34$ of the amount being sent.

I don't think you will be charged from mylot. DO you mean to say that your husband sent you money in some other currency and you received it another and due to currency conversion, the money was deducted. then it can be the case. Paypal has the rule for that. As far as mylot is concerned, it will pay you in dollars, and i dont think that there will be any fees deduction if you receiving money into your account also in dollars.

yes, i checked back and placed my currency into dollar, so that it can be dollar to dollar transaction, he send me another $3, and when I received it, it has another deduction of .42 cents , its driving me crazy, so he canceled it back and was sent back again to his account, still hoping to have a solution on this problem.

Thanks yaar for your reply, actually I have a verified status on my paypal account. Indeed when my hubby send me via paypal on my account it did not charged him anything on sending, but when I received the amount, that's how I, as a receiver get charged by them. For $20 that he sent, it charges me $1.08 on my account leaving my $20 only $18.92. The only thing I can see from them is that every transaction, they get 2.5% as a processing fee of exchanging the rate. I was just thinking if for example i get paid by Mylot if i reached the minimum payout, will they charge me again of this, because when I was in India, I don't get deducted from what I receive on any online making site i joined.

PayPal seem to have different charges depending on the country. Log on to your PayPal account and look at 'Fees'. This should explain what charges they make and why.
