Does Big Lots really have good prices as advertised?

I am a Kmart and Walmart shopper but recently, our city just got a Big Lots store and I haven't had a chance to go there yet. I have heard it's like Family Dollar stores. Are Big Lots better than Kmart, Walmart or Family Dollar store with regards to prices and selection?

We have a Big Lots in the next large town over from us. Gosh, I really love that store!! I have found so many good things there over the years, and at prices that I think are excellent. I've gotten many good deals there. I always go there before going to Kmart or Walmart just to see if they have what I need. I think it's definitely worth it to check it out, you might be pleasantly surprised on what you'll find there:-)

Big lots may not have every thing you are looking for, but they do have really good prices on sorts of food and even toys for kids and sometimes has cleaning products and so much moer for in the indoors.
An example is that i have a cousin that buys the puffs for the kids and they were only a dollar at big lots and at walmart they were around 2.50 so you do save money and if you like the stuff in their you will do good. Big lots can save you money for sure even with christmas gifts and house accessories.

I enjoy shopping at Big Lots. They have really great buys. I have even bought furniture there. I shop at Big lots, Walmart and family dollar.
