How often do you get to sit down and enjoy a hobby (this is mainly for parents)?

I find that it is EXTREMELY difficult to find time to do my own hobbies and interests when I have so many family-related responsibilities (I am not complaining, because being a mom is the BEST job in the universe.)..I sometimes want to run and hide in a closet with my guitar and practice my music but never can seem to find time to sing (my passion)...so my run-on-sentence-question is..when do you find time? How do you find time? How does one make time?

After 20 some years being a stay at home mom I have found a couple of ways to feed my creative side. The easiest was finding a hobby or craft that the little ones liked for themselves and having a mutual session all together. It is messier, but ALOT more fun. There have been times when I had to choose between hobby and sleep, but that was when they were really little. Why don't you sing to them..when they are in the tub, before bed. I don't know how old yours are but maybe you could dress them up and tell them they are your groupies? Seriously though, don't try to find the time..take the time to nurture your creative side. Back to not so serious..For me the best job would be equipment manager for the Detroit Red Wings hockey team, followed closely by being one of the guys in Toronto watching every game being played. Mom was my best career choice though.

Hello walkytalky Cool ID name and I do not get time anymore working two jobs I rather walk in the park and rest and sleep right. When I did have time for hobbies it was cross stiching and beading and crafts etc. Thanks Unique16
