Awhile ago I received an email about funds owing to me, and saying I must be dead as I'd not claimed them. See my discussion:http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2169082.aspx Below is a copy of an email I received today. Seems Mr. Aneka of the original email to me (you know, the guy who informed me in writing that I was DEAD!), is now trying to claim MY MONEY! The nerve of the man! lol Oh and by the way, there was no picture attached to the email.... "2009/12/3 Mrs Tricia Benson Attnention: My name is Mrs. Tricia Benson of the International Monetary Fund investigation unit. Attached pictures was received and forewarded to our office here in London UK today 3TH OF DECENBER, 2009 requesting that your unclaimed fund be paid to Mr. Charles Aneka. In the said letter of change of beneficiary/ownership, representatives of Mr. Aneka states that you are dead and as such your fund should be paid to him as the next of kin to you. Because of the elaborate global scam, we decided to contact you for confirmation. If after two working days, no responce is received from you, it will be assumed that you are dead and as such authorisation and approval will be granted on behalf of Mr. Charles Aneka to claim/receive your fund. Confirm this pictures and reconfirm your Information to me the followings. (1) Your full name (2) Phone, fax and mobile # 3) company's name, position and address 4)profession, age and marital status 5) Copy of int'l passport or any scanned identity to prove yourself and how you want your fund paid to you without further delay if you are still alive. Send your responce to my email address Regards Mrs Tricia Benson" Note the poor spelliing.............does NO ONE use spell check? lol So folks, I've decided to let you all join in the fun of my response to Mrs. Benson. Whomever gives me the best response for me to send her, gets best response! lol

I get apart seventy of these types of emails everyday in another email address I have. I delete, delete , delete.... I have not been able to find a good way of getting rid of them. It's like trying to stop water from flowing down hill... The scammers just don't stop. If anyone knows a good way to get rid of these guys. I'm up for advice.

Emails like this really cause a good laugh, there was this other one that had spelling errors that said I was attacked by "arm robbers", as if they were involved in some black market organ trading business.

Considering the variety of these kinds of scams out there, I'll bet the 'arm robbers' wasn't a typo! ROFL

That would be funny indeed. I hardly ever get those kinds of emails, not even a viagra one, well I think one time I got one of those.

It's good to play with them but the problem is that we don't know them if they are really a human or a computer generated. Because as far as i know this a kind of syndicate on the net. Because they are sending us an address in different location and uses names of person that is in the government...

This kind of mail is routine in my inbox which I just delete without opening it.May be we could report the matter but they can vanish into thin air should enquiries be lodged against them. So the best is to just delete these messages as a routine as I do.

LOL I received it, too. Maybe we should all visit Ms. Benson, in person, telling her that we're all ghosts and are there to haunt her forever.

It's true that some of these can really give you a good laugh, but some of the newer ones I've been getting are just plain scary. I can see were less aware people can easily be trapped into giving their informaiton out.

aha..that's really funny and how could they know you and still need your personnal information at such details.i never have a sight to this kind of message and just pull it to the spam folder or delete it. that's just waste of my time and no need to discuss with them at all. but your share would be useful to those newbies.
