Are you a writer at heart? Do you love being creative with your writing?

I love writing and I also love the idea of materialising my thoughts on to paper and I get so much enjoyment from this. I wouldn't describe myself as a professional writer but it's only recently that I have tried experimenting with works of fiction. I have now been published on Triond, I have several works of fiction on that site now. This is a great form of release I think. When you apply your hand to creative writing this gives you the opportunity to try new things and new ideas. I guess the more you write the better you become. Do you love to write yourself? What type of writing do you indulge in? I would love to write more in relation to reference but I think that this requires quite a bit of research so that you get your facts right. Anyway, what does writing do for you? This discussion gives you the opportunity to be creative with your words!. You may even enclose some examples! Andrew

I think that I'm a writer at heart. I love playing with words and suddenly finding a masterpiece in front of myself. I think my expertise is when it comes to feature writing because I express myself best when commenting or elaborating about a certain topic or current event. I would like to try writing a fiction sometime.

I think that fiction is very interesting as you can create virtually anything, any scene, any environment and it's great if you can create a good atmosphere too! I'm just starting on the road in relation to writing fiction. The four short stories that I submitted to Triond were accepted thankfully. I think that the more you write the more you will improve and I hope to improve a lot, in time! Thanks for your thoughts. Andrew

I am more on nature content of writing, having said, poem world of writing. I convert it to video and uploaded to various video sites e.g. DailymMotion, Metacafe, YouTube, etc. As a little proof, just hit the search browser with these search keyword "Once Spoken Never Broken" and it's listed in all major search engines (SERP).

Well, that's good if you can go the extra mile and add video footage as well. I guess I'm just starting out on the creative writing side of things! I have always been a little intimidated about creating fictional characters though, I just don't know how to go about doing this! I would love to experiment with that I think. Still, I have four short stories published on Triond at present and I'm really pleased with that. Thanks for your thoughts on this. Andrew

I used to wrire a lot when I was younger. Not so much now because my depression has gotten worse. I've also been self published too. So, I guess you could call me a 'PUBLISHED AUTHOR!!!' LOL! Much of my writing had a really fun tongue in cheek sense of humor about it. I hope someday to get back into it because I know that I could make a lot of money with it. Someday I wish to write a few novels and an autobiography. It sounds to me that you're a bit of a writer yourself. Have you had anything published? Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Thanks, Andrew. I hope that once again I can get back into my writing as well. I went to your blog site and read the piece on the simple things of life. It was a very calming and nostalgic piece to read. I really enjoyed it. You do have a way with words. Keep it up! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I have always had a great love for writing. I don't know if it was my imagination and a way to express it that drove me or the words in my head that screamed to get out. Either way..I have always wanted to write. My dream is to one day be a published author.

Hi Jen, I'm sure that you will achieve your dream of becoming a published author! I have never thought about this myself but I guess you don't know how things will turn out if you constantly apply yourself. I love the idea of writing fiction and when you are a constant reader you can also analyse the words of the author you are reading, see what techniques they use and so forth. I have been writing for many years and this has mainly involved keeping private journals, a book full of my thoughts and reflections!. Still, I wish you well! Do you write for the likes of Triond or Associated Content to mention a couple? Andrew

I am a member of Associated content but I haven't wrote anything there yet. I've not had time to surf them and understand exactly how it works yet. I do write in Helium kind of frequently though. It is very different writing articles versus fiction..lol..It's a learning experience for sure but I think it's good to have many sides. My poetry does pretty good on there as far as ratings go. Are you limited to titles on AC?

Hi Jen, I have one piece of fiction published on Associated Content. I don't think you are limited as regards titles on Associated Content. I don't write there much due to the upfront payment option only being available to US citizens. Anyway, good luck with your future writings. Andrew

I might put pen back to paper one day or fingers to keyboard lol. They do say everyone has a novel inside them waiting to come out. I had a read through of some of your writings, very good indeed. I especially liked the one, Writing and How It Can Free Your Mind and Loss of A brother. I found them both very heartfelt and full of emotion. Keep up the good work my friend

I write on Triond, AC and Bukisa. I am an engineer, well that is what my degree says. But writing completes me. I write random things- from my thoughts, to health articles, to activism issues, money management issues and so on. I have 2 blogs. One on health and one on budgeting/money management. You can see my work there. The links are on my profile page. I have also gotten into poetry for a few months. Now I realize I can write a poem in like 5 minutes, if I am in the mood. I write goofy funny poems and also poems that are serious about relationship issues. They may not be the best, but its a wonderful outlet. I loved this post. Thank you :)

Yes, I like Triond and I have just been introduced to Bukisa although I have not written anything on that site as yet. I have articles published on Helium as well although I'm not overly keen on that site. It's nice when you can have others read your works and provide comments good or bad on what they thought. I guess writing is a great form of release for me and it helps me to escape reality for a while! I also love reading and I feel that this contributes to my writings as well! Anyway, good luck with your future writings. Andrew

I Love to Write and one of my dreams has always been to one day become a Published author as well. I find as well the more you Write the better you become, but I have also sometimes become my own worst critic as well. But I find that being able to share my work places with others helps give me more of a chance to be respected as a Writer as well as give me some suggestions along the way. I think being published somewhere online and earning some Extra $$ from it is a start and can help us one day achieve so many other dreams as well.

Ah! We share that same dream! I would also love to become a published author although I'm struggling with the creation of characters though. I'm thinking that I may create two characters and then just get them having some kind of conversation and build from this I think! Well, good luck with your future writings. Andrew

Yes I believe I am. I believe I always have been. For as long as I can remember I have loved writing. When I was in 8th grade a teacher told us we could write poetry for extra credit I wrote one every day and sometmes more. I think she got sick of me writing them after a while, LOL. I always enjoyed my English classes when other students were bothered by writing assignments I would pour myself in to mine. I still love writing as an adult and I have written articles and product reviews all over the inernet.

That's great! It's really nice when you can have others read your work and there's a great feeling of achievement in this as well. I would love to become a published author although I'm not sure it's that easy. I guess I'm slowly building up a portfolio on Triond and I can continue to apply my hand and I guess I'm going to wait and see what happens. I have never tried writing poetry but I am always willing to try something new! I love the idea of writing fiction and creating fictional scenes. My only difficulty at the present time is creating characters, this I find very difficult! I should perhaps being with one character and see what I come out with! Anyway, thanks for your thoughts on this and good luck with your own writings. Andrew

I enjoy writing very much and am currently working on my first book. I have been published on Triond, Associated Content and on Bukisa. If you wish to see what I have on any of those sites check out my blog: http://dragonlingtales.blogspot.com Writing is such a good way of writing and there are many free venues on the net to help us learn the craft of writing. Presently I am a Medieval Fantasy Romance writer. I also do articles and poetry. I hope you and can become friends here at MyLot and at other writing sites like those mentioned here.

Sure, that would be great! I will have a look at your written works. I will also look for you on Associated Content. Is your alias the same on Associated Content, that is to say leafygreens? I've heard of Bukisa and I'm actually a member on that site but I haven't had anything published as yet. I'm also a member of Associated Content but it's unfortunate that they only offer upfront payments for US citizens and sadly I live in the UK so I'm not eligible for upfront payments. I have one piece of fiction published on Associated Content and well I took a break from it and have started concentrating my efforts on Triond. I also have quite a few articles published on Helium which is a good site although it's a bit more difficult there as in order to receive income you have to constantly rate the works of others and maintain at least one star rating. If you lose your one star then you no longer earn anything so it's real hard work on that site! I've had a look at your portfolio on Triond and it's quite extensive, you write a lot. Anyway, nice chatting with you, take care and I will speak to you soon. Andrew

Hello, Andrew. I am a writer to the heart and soul. I love experimenting with words and moulding them into something which is totally different from the sum of their parts. I do write some fiction and poetry, but I prefer writing non fiction. I write on Helium, as there is plenty of inspiration there, not all of it needing lots of research. I always try to find a different angle to each title. As most of my friends (?!!) say I've got a twisted mind, that's not difficult. I prefer to describe myself as a quirky character!

I know what you mean. I have only started writing online in the last year or so but I always dreamed about being a writer and making my living that way. I never pursued it seriously and I'm just sort of dabbling in it now, since I work a full time job, but I'm having fun with it. I write a couple of blogs, articles on a couple of sites, make pages on Squidoo and just started on Hubpages. There are so many places one can express themselves online, it's great. If it wasn't for the internet I probably wouldn't be writing at all. So far, all my writing has been non-fiction, how to articles, or something about a particular subject. I haven't had to the courage to try short stories or any kind of creative fiction writing. I always thought it would be a major accomplishment if I could write a book and get it published. Maybe someday...

Hey, I guess that's how you start, by having a dabble from time to time! That's what I do and I'm really enjoying it. Will I ever have a physical book published? I really don't know but that would be very nice I have to admit and I hope that I can achieve this one day. I too like writing articles and I have quite a few articles published on Helium. I'm starting to enjoy the idea of creating short stories although I am struggling for the moment with characters! I would like the become better at doing this. Thanks for your thoughts on this and I wish you the best of luck with you future writings. Andrew

i can't say i love / like to write but whenever i am writes, i will always think of new ways to present my ideas. After all the purpose of writing is to share your ideas with everyone else. with that in mind i would write in such a way that readers would notice the difference between my article with others. maybe i would change the sentence structure. i prefer writing facts. to write something factual, i need to read. so indirectly i am also learning. it is like killing two birds in one stone. then i would read the comments from others. it is also a form of learning as well.

Well, it's good to come up with new ideas as you say. I think that the whole writing thing is a great learning experience and I guess I'm always learning something when I try and be creative, an idea may pop into my head and I think to myself that I can actually do something with this! Well, good luck with your future writings and thanks for your thoughts on this. Andrew

Writing is really a happy experience if you do put your heart on it. I enjoy seeing that my work is discussed by people, no matter it is praise or critisism. Writing is a good way to keep your mind young. When writing, you are doing creative work.

Yes, I agree! I think that it's nice to have others comment on your work. This gives you a good idea of how people see your writing style. I have two drafts at the moment which I writing and I'm creating them as I go along! Once I have these two pieces of writing published that will bring my grand total of published works to six! Writing is interesting and it can really help you to escape and also analyse your thoughts. Good luck with your own writings. Andrew

I love to write. I have been writing poetry since I was 15 years old. I mostly do prose now. Small excerpts of thoughts and feelings. I wrote a peice personifying addiction. I like to wrap real life in metaphor and see where it goes. I don't know how to characterize my writing because it doesn't really fit under fiction, non-fiction or novel/story type writing. Short excerpts of discriptive prose is the closest I can come to defining it. Cheers!

Poetry is nice although I have never tried that! Writing is so enjoyable whatever you decide to write and I think that there's a great sense of achievement to be had as well when others read your work. I hope to write many more works of fiction. I don't know what my long term goals are though regarding this. Andrew
