Have you ever had sweet potato pie?

I've been thinking about making sweet potato pie today. I still have a couple of sweet potatos left untouched from Thanksgiving. I don't think anyone in my family has ever had it before!
Do you like sweet potato pie?
Was the filling smooth lik pumpkin pie? or was it chunky like apple pie?
Most of the sweet potato pies I've seen have had a creamy filling, I wonder if I could make one more like apple pie?

I have tried sweet potato pie. I remember it being really good. I like sweet potatos though and so I guess that helps some!

I have had sweet potato pie just once. It was very similiar to pumpkin pie had I not known it was sweet potato pie I might have thought it was pumpkin. The taste was a little different and it was just a little less creamy but other than that it was very similiar to pumpkin pie and it was very yummy. I would eat it again.
