I'm trying to lose some weight and I'm looking for delicious low-fat recipes and I thought I'd come to mylot and ask all the wonderful people here. Anybody interested in sharing their favorite low-fat recipes with me? It would be especially great if they help combat fluid retention as I am having issues with that also (caused by approaching menopause).

For a low-calorie, almost zero fat diet, you might want to try mushrooms, which are an excellent replacement of meat: http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/mushroom-recipe.html

That's a good idea too... plenty of protein and zero fat. I actually started eating more mushrooms after I was diagnosed with high cholesterol for that very reason.

Good to see you, it's been awhile. Unfortunately I'm no help at all because all my low fat diet ever does is makes my fat fall lower. Take Care

LOL grandma. Well, I've just found out that I'm starting to go through the dreaded 'M' word (menopause) and I'm not sure how much of my existing chubbiness is fat and how much is fluid. Am thinking of going on HRT.

It’s a good idea to have an idea of the calories that most food items have. If it is a packed thing then the label is sure to have the calories that the substance has.
