Writing to Santa...

So, I am 21 and my parents still insist I write Santa Clause a letter.
They say if we (me and my siblings) don't, we won't get any presents!
lol.
SO....creative as I am...I don't just make my letter to Santa a list of what I want...I make it an actual personal letter...but it isn't always friendly...LOL. Nothing really bad...
Like last year I told Santa I saw him committing some kind of crime and if he didn't bring me the things I listed below, I would report him to the police...SO for Christmas, from Santa, I got a little bag of coal along with a note 'Santa doesn't appreciate threats.' LOL
I think the year before that I told Santa in my letter that I was Cat Woman, and if he didn't bring me what I wanted I would find him
My parents don't have a problem with it, they think it's funny....
BUT I'm not sure what I want to do this year!!! I want it to kind of go along with last years...so I was thinking I would start off by saying something like, "I think we got off on the wrong foot last year..." yadda yadda yadda...lol. Anyone wanna help me with my funny letter this year!?

LOL. I think that is kind of neat. I think it would be great to be able to do something like that. I would tell him if he does not bring what I ask for, he might find coal on his plate instead of cookis LOL and he made find a charcoal drink instead of milk.

This topic reminded me of something and I just have to share it with you. When I first moved from up north down to S. Florida, I got a job with a local police department working in dispatch. Well dispatchers, like cops, have to cover shifts around the clock 24/7 so the newest hires usually get stuck on midnight shift and have to work all the holidays and weekends which of course I did.
Working dispatch, one of the things we have to do is make announcements to every officer on duty for anything that they need to know. We would get notifications over our teletype of information that had to be passed on. These notifications are called "bolo's" (Be On the Look-Out) and it might be information on a subject or vehicle that any local department was looking for, especially for crimes that just happened or a short delay time. We would key the radio, blast a short tone to get their attention and announce to stand by for a bolo. Then after giving them a few seconds to get ready to copy the info, we proceed to formally give the bolo information. It's pretty much a set procedure.
Well, I was working the radio Christmas eve night. It was about 4 in the morning and things were really quiet and I just couldn't resist. I keyed the radio and gave the tone and said stand by to copy a bolo. The other dispatcher looked at me a little puzzled... I then proceeded to give out a bolo for Santa Clause.
Attention all units. Be on the lookout for a burglary suspect seen in the area. Description of suspect is a white male, elderly, has white hair and a white beard, last seen wearing a red suit, going from rooftop to rooftop driving a sleigh pulled by reindeer. Method of entry is through the chimney. If seen, report it to your children immediately. And to all, have a very Merry Christmas.
I was fairly new and didn't know if I would get in trouble for it or not but I heard several cops, including a sergeant play along, saying over the radio, "I think I see him", "Ya, there he goes", so I knew I was ok. My fellow dispatchers got a kick out of it too. I don't work there any more but I'm still friends with some of them and they say the story always gets told to the new people around the holidays. A couple of the cops came to me later and said that I did it so seriously that at first they thought it was real and actually started writing down the subject description, until I got to the red suit part. It was one of those moments.

LOL!!!!
That's great!!! I would have been worried I'd get in trouble if I did that too! lol.
I definitely believe the officers would have started off writing the description...well played on your part! :P I think your timing was good too, nothing was going on so it wouldn't have interfered with anything.
Thanks for sharing this story! I really got a good laugh out of it!

Hi Lily! The idea of your parents is good. I would have to suggest it to my parents too
So probably, you can say sorry for what you have done last year or something like that
And then list down all the things you want for this Christmas

I stopped writing to Santa years ago. In a way I still kind of believe, but more or less what he stands for more then who he is. So I can't help you though, sorry. I'm sure you'lll come up with something.

Well, this doesn't really have anything to do with believing or not. It's my parents way of getting our wish lists out of us, and when my little nieces see me and my sister and brother writing to him it makes them believe even more, which is good! :)
