Does It Ever Drive You Crazy When Businesses Constantly Change Their Names?

And I could ask the same about women who change their names when they get married, but that's an entirely different topic alltogether, but along the same lines. When a person or business changes their name, they oftentimes become impossible to find. Just tonight I realized that I needed to call my financial advisor about something, but the company he worked for recently changed it's name to a new company, and moved to a new office, and I coudln't, for the life of me, remember the name of the company. LOL I knew the name of the guy, but I could not remember the name of the company, until about five minutes ago when it finally occured to me, and i felt relieved. Have you ever had this problem, where you could NOT remember the name of a company that recently changed its name, or just changed hands?

Yes. It drives me nuts, especially when it is a business that we do business with already. Recently two businesses that we have done business with for years, changes their name and now we have to send our payemts to another name.

If anything or anybody changes their name, it throws me for a loop. I learn something one way and I don't want to learn it again another way. I thought that was just a Dawn weirdism...

generally if its changed or moved recently, it'll have a message on the old number - and I have phone books - well, I used to have phone books...

Not really, if a company wants to get bought out or merge with another there isn't much I can do. I've been through a few corporate changes and even though I had to answer the phone different on Monday than I did on Friday it was no big deal. The only problem I see with companies changing their name is the service usually drops.
