Do you wait as long as this?

Uncle turned his heat on today. It's the first time. And it FREEZING! It was colder earlier too. He has a heater in his bedroom. But the rest of the house was meat locker cold. I have no idea why he waited so long. Money wasn't an issue, I asked as I was concerned. So what is the longest you have waited?

I used my heater for only a few days when it was having the first snowfall in the middle of November in my place, but ever since I have not used it so far in my apartment as it consumes too much electricity. I am going to buy another kind of heater which is electricity-saving and it is cheap to get one. My friends are using this kind of heater, which consumes only one kilowatt per ten hours. It is one that you can place your feet on to enjoy the warmth made by it. I have already asked my friend to get me one tomorrow. With it I will enjoy more of sitting next to my laptop. It is so nice to see your new avatar with your daughter and toddler. Have a good day, my dear ersmommy.

I have had my heat ruend on now for quite some time. It has been very cold here too. I also ran my electric heater and kept it warmer in some areas also. I try to wait also but when it is cold out, I turn it on early if the electric heater is not doing the job. I never let it get to freezing in here though.

I try to keep the heat off as long as possible. I think this year it was the end of October when I was forced to turn it on. It got below freezing and very windy...so I figured my birds would appreciate it...lol In years past I have gone as long as the middle of November....hehe I keep the heat at around 62 most of the time. So what was the reason he didn't turn it on? I am curios if others do the same as I do? It's like a little personal challenge of mine... I would keep it off longer if it wasn't for my parrots freezing. The dogs and cats don't seem to mind....my hermit crabs do okay as they have their own heat source year round. Blessed be, Mari

Hello. Yes, the weather is becoming very cold, with temperatures far below normal. There are snow blizards too, making it really freezing. I had to raise the thermostat temperature setting to keep the house, all rooms, warm and comfortable. Otherwise, one would catch cold and become sick. It increases the cost, but it is necessary.
