Do you have a nack like the gal in this movie?

Remember the character in this movie? She was into fashion and did her own wardrobe. She ends up using her mom's dress to make her prom dress. Do you have a nack like this? For me it is making money stretch. Do you feel you have a special nack?

The gal in the movie would take old clothes and revamp them or take a part of one and add it to something else. I have clothing that doesn't fit me anymore but I love the material or the print.

Same here. All the clothes the family couldn't wear anymore would go in the quilt.

Back when this movie was released, it was the fashion amongst us gals to do this. Whoever could make the best outfits tended to be the "winner". I was very talented at this once upon a time. However, the fashion in the 1980s was vibrant with a near crazy flair. Since the early 1990s fashion is much more tame. This leads to less individual creativity.

I remember when those skirts were popular with part levi and part material.

Yeah! They were fun, flirty and super easy to make. I would buy tons of jeans from the thrift store and make them for me and my friends.

i always loved that movie. have watched it many times. I would say my nack is with caregiving. The elderly and children under 15yrs I have always had a nack with. they love me, always ask for me, and we get along great. only people I seem to have any problems with are ones over 15 and under 70yrs maybe im just to childlike? hhhmmm, or mom like

Nope. Sorry for the generic comment but I'm WAAAAAY behind on my friends posts but want everyone to get their pennies, so here I am. Hi and Happy Holidays if we don't cross each others paths before then.
