so i was just thinking about this and i was wondering how long it took everyone to finally become comfortable posting responses and starting discussions here in mylot that you constantly earn good money every end of the day and you are able to hit payout consistently monthly? just wondering because i noticed that i've been happy with my posts and discussion for the past month that i can even post even if i'm intoxicated...seriously! lol!!!
want to hear everyone's thoughts.
cheers!!!

It is pretty simple. If I work at it I can reach payout each month. I feel good that I have several monthly paying sites. I realize that if I work at it I can make some good payouts. If I don't then I don't. It is actually quite simple. I don't stay on here forever. I go back and forth from the different sites and things I do online. If I didn't I would get bored and stop alltogether.

When I first started, I was doing great up until I had a day job again then I started to only do a few when I got home from work. But recently when I did not have a job I then started to earn more than before. Just yesterday I had so much fun that I got to comment alot and so right now I am having so much fun here that I cannot stop myself from reading more discussions and sharing my thoughts.

Wll.. It took me months to get familarize with the earning system over here. Actually I started using mylot back in December 2006 but after posting responses for about a month, I could hardly earn a dollar for posting over 100 responses. So that disappointed me and I left posting resposnes anymore. Next time when i thought of using mylot, I had to literally search for the site because I had forgotten the name. that was in November 2007 that I started using the site again. However, I gained some confidence aftre posting some good responses and finallyw as able to make my first payout after 3 months. Now you would be wondering why i took so much of time in making my first payout. That was because i did not have a free access to internet at home and only possible way for me to post was at my office. So whatever time, I would get, I would post here. Gradually, I made myself comfortable posting over here and reduced my time to reach my payout from 3 months to 2 months.
Now, I feel comfortable posting over here, but somehow, it becomes boring at times. Now i am just struggling to reach my 5th payout since an year.

hi vipulchawla!
it is good to hear that you decided to come back and be more active here at mylot. i think our stories are the same. i was active at mylot when i started but then i gradually took a leave from mylot because of my busy schedule. i just recently started mylotting again at the latter part of the year and i'm sure glad i did.
i knida missed mylot when i was gone and now with a lighter schedule, i can post and start discussion here at mylot. i understand your situation about being able to post only while at work. the is the same case with me before but then i was able to purchase a laptop and another computer so now, whenever, i'm home or when the situation permits i can do mylotting even when travelling.
5th payout?!! it seems to me that you are doign well. getting bored is normal but i think what you need to strive for is to look for discussion and topics that will interest you so that you will continue posting.
cheers!!!

I understand that. Its really surprising that you could sustain your rating of 10 even after being offline for such a long time. Now I have bought a laptop and have internet connection as well but still I hardly find interest in coming back to mylot and post here. I am just striving to reach my 5th payout.

Hello there, allen. Cool topic here. For me, I have become like a permanent resident of mylot, LOL. I would log in whenever I'm free, even when I'm working and sometimes on my rest days too. I would make it a point to check out discussions that are around, what friends come out with and on another tab, having the email on for comments and responses received. I think mylot is a great internet past-time for everyone and I do want to promote this site pretty much, but am still thinking how to go about doing it. I'm addicted very much, and I can't take a breather yet. Still actively participating.

agree with both of you that mylot is indeed addicting!
i think promoting the site is a good thing. you can get referrals and that will boost your income here in mylot. anyway, good luck in what ever endeavor you take to promote mylot zed!

Hi Allen,
i don't know. I did not even bother to count how many days and even weeks i am when i first started here in mylot. i just enjoy responding to discussions everyday. it tried my best to drop some lines and even make my own discussions. i was so happy when my first discussion received responses. i made the second one and received some responses too. that inspired me and now i am making a lot in terms of responses. i am not into posting new discussions-- i am more of a respond-er. i did that too, even if i am tipsy i still do my lot.

hi ms. f and zed!
yes, i do know what you are saying. sometimes i'm more of a responder than that of a discussion started. it really depends on my mood. i jus tnoticed that durign the previous weeks, i was starting discussions left and right and i was hardly responding to the comments in the discussions i started. now just recently, i didn't have any ideas for new discussions so now i'm typing this, albeit very late, response.
cheers!!!

Hi Zed,
thanks for dropping some lines over my comment. mylot is part of my daily routine. a stress management technique for me. even if i want to start a discussion, i still prefer to respond. there are so many discussions worth responding. hope to see more of you around.

That made me think too.... it was long time ago. I did find the it sometime before I was able to comfortably share in here. At first I was reluctant but I think I mustered all my strength to try and see if this site really pays. After my first payout I think I realized this is real one so I enjoyed this site more than the other sites out there. I am seeing that there is no site same as mylot is. I am happy here to share and response.

I don't know, I've had this account for quite a while and I still get a little... weird when responding to things or posting discussions. Good earning doesn't really enter into the picture at all. Usually I just try to remember it's the internet and I don't have to actually deal with any of the people who'll read anything I post so I shouldn't get as worked up as I occasionally do.

I don't start al that many discussions, but as far as responding to other discussions, I started immediately when I got here, and I have been enjoying myself since, and I have not regretted m decsion to join mylot whatsoever. I do make payout every month, just by posting responses to other discussions. It really comes from my putting effort into it and posting quality as that is what mylot is looking for. I have been having fun in hee everday that I am here, and I hope to continue to do so. I was very happy when I made my first payment, as it is something that I wanted to accomplish, and I have been doing so. I just love sharing and learning from others, and I hope they do with me as well. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hello, Allen. Well, the first couple of weeks I was on here, I just explored and responded - I didn't even think of starting a discussion, and I didn't make any Friend Requests because I wanted to find out what people were like, and the only way to do that is visit their discussions and interact.
I enjoyed that time, as I felt it was my 'discovery time' on MyLot. Then I started getting FRs and getting to know people, and by the end of my third week here I really felt as if I 'belonged.' I made a few mistakes with accepting friends - got a few spammers and the occasional weirdo, but I think I know enough now to spot the dodgy ones. Mylot is the first and only social networking site I've ever joined, so I had to learn how things worked.
I've been on here 9 months now, and it's my second home. I've made some wonderful friends that I'd never have met otherwise, and I learn something new every day.

Hi allen!
Well, this is got to be my first month joining here so I am not expecting for a payout for this month yet. But I'm sure I'm gonna make it on the end of the month
I think it takes 3 weeks for me to get familiarize with everything and earn good money. It was infact when I am used to type more. Getting my first start helps too.
I don't start my own discussion unless I have something in mind or need an immediate answer or if something lingers on my mind. :D I enjoy responding to topic and comment back to them once the TS or someone comment back.
You still can post even if you are intoxicated?
How was that? How are you now?

hi yan!
it does take awhile before you get familiar with mylot but honestly, mylot is so user-friendly and i'm sure you'll ge the hang of it in no time at all. like you, at first, i foudn responsing easier than starting my own discussion but eventually i was able to start my own discussions. like you said, it just takes time gettign used to it.
lol at posting while intoxicated. yup, i can do that. you'll be surprised at what i can do while drunk. hahaha!!! i don't recommend posting or staring discussions at mylto while drunk but it certainly won't stop me from doing what i enjoy which is being here at mylot.
cheers!!!

well this is my first month and really i know that mylot pay but i feel strange when i respond keeping money in my mind because i will then try to more discuss and respond but will not able to give the good response. you can help better or respond better if you get honest with that and give time or think about that discussion and your suggestion. if you keep thinking money then i think it will not generate a best results for you and result will be discuss more and less money so just discuss like you are a freelance here to help others as much as you can then ou will give best replies and also good money....cheeers

I am new, and I still don't know how the site works as far as paying. The first day I was on here I posted 3 responses and earned $0.05, the next day I earned $0.05 and posted over 20 responses, it doesn't make sense to me if anyone would like to reply and explain this please let me know.

If I had to say, it took me roughly 2 weeks into finally becoming comfortable and fully coming to terms with how MyLot works and fitting in with the community. After that, it was pretty easy for me to join in with the discussions and contribute toward the community overall
For some people, it can be hard to become acquainted with MyLot, for others, it can occur almost naturally. Happy mylotting now

Actually I was already comfortable in posting and answering discussions on my first day...
I was confortable beacause I feel mylotters are very freindly. They always welcoming the new members and they willingly help others...
That feeling made me enjoy mylot more. I love mylot for I enjoy reading discussions and sharing my points and opinions as well. This is a good place to learn new ideas...
I did not hit the payout on my first month. I am already 3 months old here and luckily last month I was qualified for the payout and also this month.
When you love what you are doing, it seems like the time is running fast.
Have a nice day aleays allen0187!!!

Hello Allen,
I have joined MyLot about 4-5 days ago.And its really hard to cope with all the dedication we have to give in order to start start earning decently.I haven't been able to know how this thing works.Peoples say all I have to do is to participate in lots and lots of discussions, and its what I am trying to do now.Hoping to start earning pretty soon.
