Many years ago I bought a dvd player that was made in china ,since the price was very cheap. but it got damaged within 2 months of usage and i had to throw it away. After that i bought another one made in japan and it lasted for many days without any problem. Now i am planning to buy a mobile. Most of the mobile shops have chinese mobiles which are priced very cheap and have a lot of features. But i feel afraid to buy those because i fear about the quality of products. So would you buy anything made in china?

As a Chinese, I even won't choose China made mobiles, my favorite brand is Nokia. While for TV sets, DVD, freg etc, there's some Chinese famous brand like Hiar, Midea stands for high quality and favarabl after sales service. China is growing up and we have much lessons needs to learn before being a giant. There's a saying lower money for lower qualities, it meets different demand of people. hehe

Hi, Dont buy anything Made In China unless you want it for cheap price. Chinese mobiles got lot of features which can be seen in only high end mobiles but these phones are not reliable. I have purchased few china made touch screen phones but the touch screen stopped working within few months. So dont waste your money on these.

ya many price-sensitive people(especially from poor countries)buy low cost products without thinking much about its quality. These duplicate chinese companies are taking advantage of it.I have decided i will always use products made by branded companies.

i have some products at home that were made in china. some were damaged already after a week and some are not. maybe it's up to the user. i don't buy glasswares and phones from china for i have a bad experience on those products. my dvd was still fine up to now. even the dvds that were pirated were made from the china.

Hi! I'm a Chinese, but I have to admit it! However, just as "Made In Germany", I think the porduct which "Made In China" would be better than "Made In Japen" and "Made In Germany" in the future! By the way, if you are a faddists, perhaps the product "Made In China" is the best choice!

I really don’t buy expensive consumer durables which are made in China…I only buy branded products (even if these are made in China, I at least have the company’s warranty and after sales service)…I buy only toys and other cheap stuff which are made in China.. that way I know that they wont last long but it will be my money’s worth.

Honestly, I don't even really look at where stuff is made. If I want it and like the price then I usually buy it. I haven't really had that many things to break though. My uncle will not buy anything that is made in china and he doesn't want things that were made there too. So if we buy him anything we have to make sure it wasn't bought in china so I usually stick to gift cards or something simple for him. lol

I will buy from China only if I really have to. Lately Im with my dad on buying only those things that are made in America but i do own things that I have had for years that are made in China and are still in great shape. Maybe the employees of the company you bought those things from did not put care into the things they made which is their fault and not that of the whole country.

Most of the items sold in our market is made in china so yes I still buy things that are cheaper because that is what I can afford. I have not had to much problem with the items I brought. I figure that not everything is made to last forever.

The products made in China did win bad reputation in the world for their poor quality. But on the other hand, many products of famous brands, like Apple, HP and Nike, are made by Chinese OEM factories. The quality of these products are not bad, right? It is not proper to say all of Chinese products with poor quality. And meanwhile, many workers are paid very low salary and the owners of factories reduce some production process to save cost. How can these kind of factories produce good products?

I don't think all products made in China are low quality, but many are. I'm careful about what I buy, and like to look up reviews of products online before I buy them.

Do not judge China products in general. Most of them are of good quality and quantity as well, few maybe below the standard. I do buy China products for practicality sake, i find them good and better just like other much expensive products from other importing countries.Sometimes it all depends on how we deal and use on them.

I prefer not to buy products made in China unless its from a reputed brand being sold in a good shop. The reason is simple. Suppose I buy a china mobile for Rs.2000 and after a couple the mobile stops working. Then I have to buy another mobile for around Rs.3000. Instead of that I can buy a reputed mobile for Rs.5000 which is very much likely to last years.

Probably about 3/4 of my stuff is from China, or has that "Made in China" label on it. The prices are just too good to pass up! American-made products are usually really expensive. It's true, though, that usually - the cheaper of the product (money-wise), the cheaper quality it is. I try to keep my receipts for EVERYTHING and make sure that any electronic I buy has a warranty on it just in case.

personally I always try and buy items made in the uk, though its very difficult too as most electricial goods are made abroad as its cheaper than making them in uk. Though I also buy uk food stuffs, I feel we have to try and support the country that we live in first and foremost. Am all for fair trade but buy from your local country as much as you and help your economy.

I like china product due to decorations and lights. Very cheap, and save our money. I bought 4 products instead of 1 with same price, almost same life time of 4 products compare to 1 quality costly product. I am very happy , i have used different colors and style instead of using one costly quality product.

I went into a store the other day and they had a DVD player on sale for $29. I almost bought it but then saw it was made in China. I have to say I didn't buy it because of that. I so wish that I had of bought it since my old one is going on us. But still it would have stopped working soon after I had of bought it. I have bought many TVs and other things made in China none of which even made it for a year. 90% of what we see in stores is made in China Junk. I hate to say it but I believe they need to quit importing all that Junk. Its not even worth the cheaper price, most toys that I bought for my kids so far this year were made in China. I will just have to warn my kids to not put it in there mouth. Most silver ware in the stores is made in China. It makes you wonder what we are putting in our mouths when we have to use spoons, and Forks made in China. So far I have only found one thing this Christmas season made in the US.

As we all know, most of the things that we buy are Chinese. Most of these things are usually relatively cheap, and yes, asking myself whether or not to buy these items has come to my mind. For most of the times that I had bought a cheap Chinese product, it has broke after some times, that is, except for the cutlery that I own, although the paint is slowly coming off these things too. So, now, I generally try to avoid the things that are Chinese because I know that most of them are of low quality. But because China produces nearly everything that we find on the market today, it's defenetly hard not to buy a chinese item, especially since you know that there is no choice.
