When you are in bathroom or working at home, do you hum a song?

Always some song keeps coming to my mind. It is automatic. Whether I am in bathroom or cooking or sweeping the house, I mildly hum some song or other. Of course the type of song depends on my mood. I will either hum in a low tone or silently in my mind. Do you also hum songs in bathroom or while working at home? Is it loud, low or in your mind?

Something I do. It depends on my mood on that time. And if I hum it must be loud and the souds must be out. LOL

If you are in a good mood, then I think we can expect good songs from you lullaby2005. By the way, can you sing a lullaby song?

I'm not able to sing lullaby because I have no child yet. But when I was a child my mother always sing that song for me. So nice:)

I'm always humming or singing while I work. Whether housework or my writing. I almost always have something stuck in my head that I must sing, especially when I'm writing. Then if the tv is on its even worse, as those stupid commercial jingles get stuck in my head horribly. :)

Instead of the jingles finding their place in our head, better we will sing our favourite song or at least hum.

Oh, I don't mind the jingles so much, since a lot of them are just songs anywho. And they do not make me buy things I don't need, even if that is the purpose. I just like anything with catchy lyrics or tune. :)

So you do not sing for the audience but for self. As long as you sing it is great. It gives enjoyment to the soul is it not?

I don't think there is a time of the day when I am not humming or singing a song. I sing in the shower, I sing in the car. I even sing when I am cooking or doing house work. The reason for this, I think is because music has always been such a part of my life. When I was growing up, I played both the piano and the viola as well as the fact that I sang in the school choir as well. Sometimes when I am singing along with the radio in my car, my children will tell me to shut up, but that is the only negative feedback that I ever get about my singing.

Outwardly you do not hum. May be inwardly you will be humming, i.e. mind will be humming.

Yes. I do this sometimes but not very often. I am too busy usually when working online and I am always in such a hurry when I am in the bathroom also. I try to get in and get out. I am too focussed when working at home also.

You are right. When we are too busy, we cannot hum or sing and also concentrate on the work. Our mind will be preoccupied.

Sometimes I hum some songs when I am happy to, but not always. I don't have a special occasion for humming a song. It all depends on my mood, but recently I have been listening to a lot of songs while I am using the computer in my apartment. I am getting familiar with those repeated songs playing again and again next to my ears. Take care, Buchi_bulla.

If you are listening to lot of songs, then slowly you will start humming them without your knowledge.

buchi bulla hi I do that too , even here at Gold Crest I find myself humming a favorite song. I get some odd looks but I really ignore them as I am not hurting anyone and it makes me feel happy. I sing in the shower too as its private and nobody there to stare at me. music is automatic to me.

I have to admit I do not just hum when I take a bath but I literally sing all the songs I remember the lyrics to. It is just better to sing songs instead of just humming. I have noticed also that my son sings as well when he is busy doing something and it makes him more busy when he sings.

Do not bother about the tune. The resound of the bathroom will hide the wrong tuning. Bathroom is the best place to practice song and test our singing calibre.

Yes, I also hum random songs. They tend to be what could be classical music, probably because I am in the Orchestra at school. Normally it happens without thinking about it and then I start to wonder if I've played that "song" before, or if I'm making up a new song, or even if I'm taking parts from stuff I've played or hurt and putting them together to form my own original song haha. Now I'm wondering if you wonder the same as me...

I do sometimes, but not often. I feel better when I hum or sing, so I should remember to do that more often! When I sing, I sing loud, but when I hum, it's usually pretty quiet. I live alone, so it doesn't matter how loud or where I sing.

If you are living alone, then what hesitation? Sing or hum as loud as you want and as much as you want. ENJOY HUMMING.

I do the same thing....shower, cleaning, whatever I'm doing. If there is no radio I still sing. I have quit whistling though, my dogs don't seem to know the difference between a happy tune and me calling them. A lot of times it is outloud when I sing, if it's somewhere where there are a lot of people I tend to keep it to myself but the music (even in my mind) gets me in a good mood and keeps my energy up.

There is a film song in Tamil language. If you dance, sing and do the work, you will not get fatigue. So sing or hum while you work. rajdra.
