I hate traffic!!!

I have been sitting in the same spot, with my car off for more than 30 minutes! I mean come on cops get the cars out of the way so people can make it to work, or a baby shower in my case. How do many of you handle being in traffic? I hate it but it gives me a break from the stresses of life, giving me only one stressful thought of wanting to get out of this cluster f***

Traffic jams - Angry drivers is a common scene on the road specially in India!
But in India it is worse what with pollution, bad roads, bad drivers, half baked traffic rules. I have given up socialising after I had this miserable experience of not reaching the venue of a wedding celebration on time!!

It seems like everyone is late these days. I'm never late to jobs though!

I can totally agree with you on this one, with the traffic. Especially when there is an accident and the cops are already at the scene and seen the location of the cars and has made the report. Then it may be a good idea to see if people can try to move their cars out of the way just to not delay other drivers. Although, were I live most of the time traffic is not just caused by accidents here, but we also have alot of construction in our area, which they say will improve the traffic problem. But with all the construction that they do, it seems that they cause more traffic then what they had before. I remember one time I was coming home from work with my husband one day and the traffic was so bad, we were stuck in it for a whole hour and a half. We were seriously thinking of getting off of the freeway and just going to grab a bite to eat and wait for the traffic to die down. The traffic was cause by a major accident. I live in a area, where there is traffic almost all over the city.

Going to get something to eat! haha! That's exactly what i was thinking. I could have walked across the highway, hopped a fence, and been at the mall. Next time I will know what to do! It would be totally awesome if when I came back to my car, the traffic was done, and this time my car is the accident, crushed. haha

Like most things, I'm very passive. I mean, if there is nothing you can do about it, then there is nothing you can do about it. That is not to say that sometimes I don't sit there and feel like literally exploding, or just getting out of my car and leaving it there. But I don't honk the horn or yell or scream at others around me. Traffic isn't so bad if you're not in a hurry...but we are ALWAYS in a hurry aren't we :)) The worse is when you are stuck in traffic on a really hot day...with NO AC!!!! :))

Humans are always in a rush! I was in a rush, late for a babyshower, haha. But it all ended up okay, but i still wanted to go crazy! I didn't want to get out and walk around like everyone else because I did not want to lose my car, or get it stolen haha.

U hate traffic, oh really, then tell me who loves traffic? I guess everyone hates traffic. Have u ever tried to find out the reason why we have lots of traffics on the roads ? The reason is that everyone wants to have his own car and run it on roads. No body cares about public transport. If the govt forms a strict policy regarding use of personal cars and public transport, then the problem of traffic can be handled well. Have u ever tried to use public transport just for the sake of it. Try to contribute to have less pollution by not running in cars everytime. better use public transport as much as u can. I wish u got my message.

Yes we all do ,I mean we could be doing something else rather than sitting there not doing anything .We use to encpunter long delays like that on the road but then they built a by pass and improved the road surface in the areas where we used to have a taffic build up and now its smooth sailing .The only time I encounter serious traffic is when I am driving in the town areas but coming into town from country is a breeze .Another time we encounter traffic is when there ia a hurricane and many roads are blocked or damaged

My husband once told me that when we were just dating and getting to know each other, he loved traffic so much. Being in a traffic with me, no matter how many hours we had to waste and bear with it, gave him the reason to be with me longer. That was so sweet--back then. Now, after a long day in the office, finishing everything to be done, being stressed out and all, all we want to do is go home and have a relaxing time with our son. But due to the traffic, it was impossible to do so. I hate traffic too because it means coming home from work only to find out my baby is already sleeping, and getting up in the morning to arrive in the office on time leaving my baby boy, again, still sleeping. I hate it that due to this traffic, precious hours are being slashed-off from me, the hours I supposed to be spending with my little baby.

that's funny, huge vehicular traffic is something u cannot do without especially when you reside in big cities, if you hate traffic then you will have to relocate to smaller cities, as long as you are making the money in the big city , you can't run away from huge traffic of cars

I've been stuck on traffic for more than two hours a couple of times. The road and traffic network in the Philippines does not really allow smooth travel, I mean continuous traffic flow. There is always something that would cause delay.

I also hate traffic as much as you do, it really irritates me especially when i have an important meeting to attend and then i just can't help but wait till the traffic subsides and then i will be late at the meeting. I wish flying cars will be invented and let us use it in public so that we will not have problems on traffics, if we do not want to fly then take the road, but if not, then i guess, taking a flying car will be better.

I've been driving in the rush hour for years, so I get the feeling. Where I lived policemen would make the traffic even slower and make the traffic jam only increase more and more. Unfortunately you can't just get down of the car and hit a cop

Hi. I understand how you feel about it. I also feel the same way too. You are I guess luckier than I am because you are comfortable sitting in your own car. In my case, I am only using jeepney when traveling to somewhere. Traffic irritates me so much especially if it's very hot and the jeepney is full. I wish there would be a remedy for this problem all over the world.

I wonder who does? If it isn't rush hour, its something else. Like people driving like mad men/women trying to get somewhere because they don't know how to manage time. People who got their licance to drive off a cerial box, or wet rainy weather that takes those problems and incresses them. Today was one of those days.

I don't know chickenteeth, that don't sound like much of a break from stresses of life. The way I handle it is to place myself in a state of mind where none of the "stuff" can reach me. A mental fog, if you will. I go to one of my favorite places, mentally, and stay there till traffic clears. I find myself much more agreeable and pleasant, relaxed, sitting in traffic jams. It's easy. Now for the truth, I left the city 30 years ago and haven't been back. I don't do traffic here where I live. We don't even have a stop light within 25 miles of here. Sorry bout that! Good luck.

Yeah, I can agree with that because traffic these days usually always delayed and then to make matters worse when a emergency vehicle appears people will not move out of the way of that it needs to go first.
