Sadly, I haven't even begun my Christmas shopping yet for most of the people in my family. I have already given my wife her main present though. I bought tickets to see the Radio City Music Spectacular with the Rockettes when they were in town last weekend. We went out to eat and went to the show. I am planning on starting my shopping sometime this week though.

I wanted to shop some this weekend...but I ended up babysitting for both my sisters (one on friday and for one on Saturday and today(Sunday). And I'll probably be working Mon-Wed...I have an appointment on Friday...so I really won't have any time to shop until next weekend! I'm actually busy for a while!!! lol
Do you have any ideas on what to buy anyone? I don't! lol. I have to ask them what they want before I can shop :P

Yeah, we both had a great time seeing the Rockettes! If you've never seen them, you should definitely try to make it to one of their shows sometime. It is incredible! I hear you on being busy. I am in my last semester to get my Masters degree, in addition to working full-time, being a father and husband, and running a photography company. So, I understand completely about being busy! I guess that's one of the main reasons I haven't had the opportunity to shop yet lol Most of the people that I buy for make it pretty easy. I buy a lot of gift cards for my family. My dad loves doing work around the house and gardening so I always get him a gift card to Lowes Hardware and my mom, I normally get a gift card to Belk or something like that. That's usually the easiest way for me to go because they can get whatever they want with the money.

I'm not even sure what giftcards I could get for everyone...I know my dad would like a Borders or Barnes and Noble giftcard, but I think my sister is already getting him one.
So I pretty much ASK what everyone wants lol. It won't be a huge surprise but at least i'll know I'm getting them something they'll want! :)

I have only three people left to shop for, the other eight are taken care of. I went the first week of December, and it was so packed then that I'm not looking forward to going back! But alas, I must. I have to wait until I have money though, which may not be until next week, so it will be cutting it close. And I'm not sure when I'll be exchanging gifts with some of my friends, so hopefully I can get it done before they decide to meet up with me!

I'm going to try and drag my sister along when I go this weekend, but like me--she's not a big shopper! lol. But I might be able to convince her to go with me if I promise not to be out long :D I don't like going out alone! lol

well..i already started my Christmas shopping three weeks ago..every weekend i go to malls - my original plan is to buy gifts for my family / friends but it always ends up nothing for them and A LOT for me!hehehe!
hope this weekend i'll be able to buy the people that i suppose to buy gifts and nothing for me this time!:D

LOL! That's okay!!! You have to splurge on yourself sometimes!! :P And the mall is a good place to do that lol.
I'm going to try and get all my shopping done this weekend...I know what my mom wants, so that'll be easy. But I don't know what anyone else wants! I'm gonna try to find out before I go shopping!

That's true that's the best thing that you need to do is know what they want and it would be easy to buy something for them. But I read somewhere that the best thing that you can give to people that you love is the things that you like, it only means that you want to share what you want.
for a time i practiced that..personally i like hello kitty, so every time that i need to give gifts to my friends i always give them hello kitty stuffs - in that way i can let them feel that i want to share my interests with them at the same time they will feel special because they know that what i gave them is also special to me..

Thankfully I no longer have to do Xmas shopping. It used to really take a chunk out of my budget. I found myself charging things and paying them off over several months. The hardest gifts were for coworkers. I had to buy them something, but didn't have any idea on what to get. I also didn't want to spend much on people I didn't like or know other than at work. Parents were easier. I never minded spending on them even though it was expensive to get what they would like.

I only buy presents for my family and close friends. I don't/can't spend money on all my coworkers! But I won't even be working this Christmas (this week is my last at work) so I don't need to worry about it anyway! :)

I am waiting for the shopping season.
In fact, many department stores have started their promotion activities earlier than before in order to boom sales.
I am waiting for the promotion, I have focused on a DVD player, a new microwave oven, an electric cooker, a gold ring. The promotion is said to begin on 19th, Dec.

I'm lucky, I only have one person to buy for and I do most of my shopping online. Woohoo! One of the things I was going to buy is not available anymore though so that kind of screwed things up but I'll just get a couple of the other things on the Christmas list so it's not that big a deal. I'll have it all done tomorrow and then just wait for it to be delivered. I love the internet...

we're done! We ordered everything on line, and I picked up some chocolate bars in the States that are not available in Canada, when I was there this summer. I used the chocolate bars in a "flower pot" that I made, with the bars on sticks wrapped in tissue paper to look like flowers.

I am just about done with my Christmas shopping. I started a little bit early. I have a couple more things to pick up and then I will be totally done shopping for the season. I hate the ladt minute rush. Everything is sold out or all picked over, it seems.

Good job!! :D I envy you lol. I really hope there isn't a huge rush this weekend when I go shopping--but it wouldn't be too bad...I'll just make my sister stand in line while I go off somewhere else! lol (nooo I'm not that mean! :P)
