Howdy! ifa225! An 8 year old boy doesn't still know or have no any idea about stealing. Sorry to preempt you just tell me if I'm wrong prior to his behavior, coz I think you always giving anything to your boy what he always wanted from you. In such a way if you don't give or not satisfied that you have given so of course basically instinct he will find out where all those things you giving to him coming for - on your pocket, wallet, purse or else. Just tell verbally him what he have done is wrong. And talk to him like he was a matured adult or a teenager but of course he is still just child. He may not know about stealing but he already know what is good or bad and just a matter of early training for him. And don't always give all things what he wanted. Train your boy, what he must have or wanted for he must work for it. Don't feel for him as a punishment, make it as an adventure or challenge for him. This will be a one of the building blocks to his maturity as human being. Thanks and Enjoy! myLot!

@gjabaigar. There's nothing I could say, except for giving you a + rating. thanks that's a good comment! I used to do it when I was a kid at exact age 8 to 10, 11. My father always left money on top our fridge, when he comes home in the morning after his work. He just left it there, it's just pennies. So me and my two siblings. whenever we want to buy some candies or anything to eat, we just get the money on the fridge. And when my father wakes up and go to the fridge, he says, "where's my money?" and then we say, "we got it, we bought something" then he would just say nothing. I think he had just purposely put money on the fridge for us, so we can't bother him when he sleeps. But that habit of us just stop, when we all grown up.
