Have you tried fried ice cream?

Fried ice cream - A special dessert for ice cream

The first time I heard about this dessert, I was wondering how they can make it. When I tried it, then only I know what it means, it's not really frying the ice cream, just that the ice cream is the filling, only the coating is being fried. I don't know how they make it, but I heard that it's not difficult to make. The taste is not bad, it gives you the mixture feeling of hot and cold. Have you tried fried ice cream? Do you like it?

Hi, kaka135. That does look very yummy. I am really thinking about trying this. I like the way that it looks. Do they make their own custom bread crust for this ice cream dessert?

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji, Well, I have never been so fortunate enough to have such contrast taste in nature. Hot and cold should not be taken at a time. May God bless You and have a great time.

Oh so its just a misleading title. So if they put ice-cream on baked items then they would call it baked ice-cream. Either way I would like to try it.

Fried ice cream is good but its not something I would run out to get. I'm a big fan of plain old vanilla myself.

Yes I have had fried ice cream before. It has been a long time since I have had it. But I really did enjoy the taste of it when I did. I think I had it at Chi Chi's or some other mexican/ spanish type resturant.

yes i have! I'm not sure if it's just something that is popular in our part of the world. i used it think it was weird, but after a while, i don't think it's that big a deal. just like wrapping ice-cream in a fried crepe. and after a while the crepe cools so it's not that warm. the major problem with it is that it's super fattening. ice-cream plus deep fried batter!

The first time I tried it, it was delicious! It's important for the outside to be crispy but many places make it then store it and it doesn't taste good--the outside is soggy rather than crunchy and it ruins the whole thing. I like good fried ice cream but it's hard to get it fresh and delicious.

No, I never have tried fried ice cream! I wondered if it would be a hot/cold experience. It sounds difficult to make. What an interesting dessert!I will have to tried it. Probably not until the Spring or Summer though since I don't care for alot of cold stuff in the Winter. And, boy are we having a winter here!!

Fried ice cream is great. Egg white and cornflakes act as an insulator for the ice cream. You can usually find it served in mexical restaurants. I have a recipe that includes shredded coconut as part of the shell. If you would like to know how to make it pm me and I'll give you the recipe. Its a paradoxical delight!!!

Yes kaka135, I have tried fried ice cream and I loved it!! It's very tasty and delicious. I just kept on wondering before how to make it...i'm very curious until I ate it and I know how it was made. But i'm still scared to try making one at home. Ice cream is a really fragile food to deal with. Enjoy eating ice-cream. Happy mylotting.

Hi kaka, Yes I've tried deep fried ice cream and I like it. My wife feels the same way, in fact she probably likes it even more then I do. Unfortunately, there is only one place that we can buy it in our area. Blessings.
