Hi ebuscat I agree that boiled water is not preferable to many but if the water supplied is very bad and since you don't like to drink the boiled water, the other options left is to buy bottled water (mineral water) or you just have to purchase a water purifier which has the capability to purify the water with its reverse osmosis and ultraviolet rays. Reverse osmosis makes it sure that the hardness from the water is removed and ultraviolet rays make sure that it kills all germs and bacteria present in the water.

I drink boiled water. As high temperature could kill germs, bacteria and viruses. After boil the water I would filter the boiled water (to clean the water). Bad water would harm human's life and cause a lot disease. Distilled water could be kill germs but I don't think it was 100% effective on it. So I prefer to boil water. While reverse osmosis water is 100% free from dirty, impurities, viruses, bacteria etc. But the major disadvantage is the RO water contains no mineral. It is totally a water without any mineral inside. So, I prefer to drink boiled water. Have a nice day :D

Yes I drink it, because in terms of health germs that are everywhere should be cooked until no more. Poor water can cause illness and make our bodies weak. This ever happened with me and always go to the bathroom when I eat or do other activities.

During my younger days it was mandatory to boil water in our house, whatever the quality of the water. But nowadays we don't find time to boil water and no one want's to drink hot water they prefer cold water so we have got a reverse osmosis water purifier and use it, supposed to have a seven filter technology and safe.

Yup, I drink boiled water. That's what I'm used to, It's safer than tap water and probably better than bottled water. Bottled water tend to be too "clean" for your own comfort.

We don't have to boil our water where I live. They do stuff to our water to make it ok for drinking and cooking and stuff. I do have a filter on my tap though and a filter in the water part of my fridge that I like to use. It makes me feel better to know that if the filter is there it is taking anything out that might would hurt our drinking water.

For my daughter, we always boil her water. We don't let her drink tap water. In the absence of boiled water, we let her drink mineral water which is quite expensive. To save money, we just boil her water. Have a good day. Happy mylotting too.

of course i do. it's one of the most practical ways to avoid water-borne diseases like diarrhea, typhoid fever and hepatitis. i live in a third world country and most people do not have access to safe drinking water. in fact, sterilized (mineral) water sold in bottles or jugs is quite expensive and impractical and for most people living in low socio-economic status coz it's an addtional expense.. that's why boiling it is preferrable, unless u don'thave a fire/electric source to boil it.**wink**

My family also do not trust the tap water. So we prefer to boil water which is used for drinking. Before boiling we filter it with a cloth, so that there is no dirt. Its better to take necessary precautions rather than fall sick.

hi there...surely boiling water is not a good options...guess you wanna know why..Research have been found that simple when boiling water most of the essentials minerals found in the water itself will be eliminated, which i found it actually true..so i suggest you use filters on your tap, there are basically some good filters available with the potentiality of remove 99% of bacteria and dirt contain in that water,if you wish i mit help with finding you one...its a little costly but its lifetime sactisfaction..i do guarantee that cause am using one myself, filtering water from a river source and the water comes out clear and clean plus its germ free,i find it very efficient

Hello Umer Ya I do prefer to drink the boiled water given these circumstances. If the water supplied in your region is really bad, then boiling water and then cooling it is an appropriate solution. What I would suggest is that boil it in a large container and then let it cool down and then pour it in the filter (if you are addicted to get the water directly from the filter tap) which will make sure that you indeed are safe from the killer diseases. Happy MyLotting.

It is a very good habit of boiling drinking water if possible just dip alum into the water once and take it away immediately. The water will remain fresh for 5 days.

yes i do take boiled water when my water filter is out of order or when even my filter fails to control the amount of cholrine in the water.i am unable to tolerate chorinated water so i prefer to boil the filtered water which removes the odour to some extent.

I drink boiled water just in case. I've seen many people here using a filter for water, so I prefer to avoid risks and boil it. Then bottle it and put in in the fridge.

I am lucky enough to live somewhere where the water is very clean. We do however filter it thoroughly before hand just in case. I used to live in a place where you didn't even need to filter your water and you could drink it straight from your tap. In that place however everyone had their own wells, so they would know if anything bad was going into their water.

Oh yes, definitely, we also have a filtered system fixed to our tap so that we can directly drink water from there, the system filters and heats the water so that germs/bacteria are killed. Our body is made up of so much water, it's important to replenish with clean water!

No, I dont drink boiled water. I would ought to buy mineral or purified drinking water because it is safer to drink. Boiled water is not that safe to drink because some bacterias and other organisms will not be killed through boiling of water. I suggest that if you would boil water, then it must be boiling for about 20-30 mins maximum.
