George and I don't shop for our cats like we would other people. Don't get me wrong we love our cats, but in really its hard to tell if they know the differance between day and night. Seeing as how they love to sleep. However, we stopped at pet smart today to get Precious's nails "professionally" clipped. (He really needed it baddly) And, we stalked up on food while we were there. (Petsmart is a bit of a drive, but at times they have the best prices (espically this time of year)) So we can't really pass it up. Of course we get food elseware, but yeah. So we did that picked up a few other odds and ends (a new cat calndar for next year) and stopped by Santa after we were done. Precious got his picture taken, and we were happy because half of what we paid went to homeless pet shelters. That will be the christmas for our cats this year.

no, because they all play with the one or two toys in "action" at the moment - anything more would be ignored!

We have a 15-year old tabby and a 1 year old tortoise shell and they are spoiled rotten! Each of them have two gifts. We can't put them under the tree as they smell them and tear the packages open early! They are hidden away until Christmas morning! The kitten has had a ball with the ribbons on the packages and with low-hanging ornaments! The older one sits back and watches her as if to say, "Don't you know that you will be scolded for that?" However I remember when he used to do the same thing!

Hi winterrose How are you doing? I don't any pets right now. But believe me if I could find the one that Im looking for she/he would have a good christmas as well. I use to have a toy poodle and he had all kinds of things. I got gifts from hubby on Valentines day and so did he. Yes my pet would have a good christmas as well as the grandkids. Keep smiling

Hi winter We here don't have a good shelter. I did go there a couple of months ago and they did have cats but only the big dogs. I have put my request to a couple of the shelters that is within my tristate area for a Yorkie. Keep smiling.

Hi winter rose: I don't have a cat even if i love them and i have always thought about having a kitty for me. I have a dog and he enjoys the fireworks on Christmas. I don't do anything special just for my pet but i share the food with him and he really enjoys it. Specially the chocolate gifts. Thanks for asking me this question. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas! -Alvaro.

My three cats will be getting presents. They will each get a toy, a can of cat food and a can of tuna. I also bought them some catnip. I wrap their presents and love watching them tear the paper. Last year I boughtn them a stocking and my cat Balckee got stuck in there. I can't imagine not buying them anything, they are members of the family. My one cat Smyles acts so human. He likes to shower with me and eat people food.

Hubby and I were just talking about that today, that we need to pick up something at the store for Shakti (our cat) for Christmas. We are going to get him a bag of toys and treats. Growing up, we had a dog, and we always bought her a box of biscuits for Christmas. She knew where her gift was under the tree, and would lay by it during the day, and my sister would let her rip the paper off when Christmas morning finally came around. LOL

I usually get the cats something special to eat, as everything in my house is a "toy" to the little fiends! Willy and Khuay are the kind to forget the toy and play with the box, Murphy is 15 and not interested in cat toys any more, and Dinglebeary is happy to watch Willy and Khuay. I am making my mini Dachshunds a bed for Christmas so they can snuggle down in it and get some good sleep. Abby will get a new rawhide chew bone (she was so thrilled with the last one that she had to show it to everyone! We have always remembered our furry buddies with gifts. It is a family tradition (or insanity, which ever you choose to believe. LOL)

Awww, that's so sweet, Winterose. We have no plans to give any treat for the cats on Christmas because there will be lots of food later and for sure they will be having plenty of them as well. However, my older sis just came back from holiday and she bought a new collar for the doggies.

My wife and I will definitely be getting our cat a few little treats to go in his stocking for Christmas. He is just like a child to us as crazy as people may think that sounds. We will probably get him a few cat snacks and toys to play with. It doesn't take much to make him happy!haha
