Hi myloters, just droping by to tell you how i feel. I feel so upset and lonely today. I have finished the problems of my passbook account in Landbank. I just learned a week ago that i just lost my passbook. I went to Landbank to report then they found out that my account was closed already. I was shocked because i havent updated my passbook for a couple of months and i have an outstanding balance of 13000 pesos,I told to the bank's employee that i havent withdraw any cent from my account how come it was closed and how come i have this withdrawal status telling that i have withdraw 1000 pesos which is not true. Then the bank told me that they have increase the maintaining balance from 5000 to 10000 pesos, i asked them, arent you not giving notice to your client, then they told me that they have sent me noticed, they started mailing notice in July 2009 and the effectivity of the increase was on October of 2009. I told them that i havent received any notice from you regarding with that matter, they told me again that it was not their problem anymore. And so after i went to Landbank, i went to post office asking if they have records for all the mails they deliver everyday, unfortunately the postman is out and will be back later. I have asked my mom to please follow up the post office. I will let you know what will be the result. I am really upset, i cried when i got home, It really hurts me, knowing that, the money was from the earning of my farm, i have pigery farm before i just sell my sow for the reason that theres no one available to take care of them. Now that I have plans to have my pigery farm again and my plan was to withdraw the said lost money to add for my available money to start up but then its gone. How unfortunate of me this year 2009, I hope i can make it on 2010.

woww... i can feel how you must be feeling right now... i will be very upset and angry as well if something like that happen to me... i don't know how much 13000 pesos worth in my country... but money is still money and it is our hard-earned money and sweat... how can the bank just take it away like that??? also, i don't think that the bank is allowed to close the client's account without any notifications... it is just so wrong... anyway, good luck... hope everything will work out well for you... take care and have a nice day...

Hi lingli, thanks again. I really dont know what happened. I felt bad really, I am just so much unfortunate!!!! I have lost my digital camera, it was a gift from my sister in London, I treasured that cam coz it really works for me, then after that, I have found out that i have lost my neclace also which has a heart pendant with letter M in center,initial of my first name,given by my mother. And the last one is the passbook i have mentioned. How sad, It only happens this year, I havent experienced that before, How come I experienced it this year.

my sympathy for being so misfortune this year., about the passbook don't give up until the bank representative wont clarify everything to you.,13,000 is much this days.about the digicam and necklace where did you lost it??? is it at home? no offend is your passbook lost at home?,if it does, then maybe there's someone who's not trusted living in your house?.you have said you misplaced it? is it just at home or somewhere else?..however,I wish the best for you this coming 2010.

....Hi dolyares, I am sorry to hear of your misfortune with your farm, I hope things turn around for you. As for your problem with the bank, do not take that without a fight. I used to be a federal bank examimer here in the states, and people have rights. If they were going to increase the charge for maintainence you must be notified before they can start to take money out of your account. Keep your records, they saw that your account had no activity and so they just went ahead and started to deduct without notifying you. Make them show you a record of your notification, if it was returned they should have a copy, dates as to when they notified you should be in their system. Make them show you, no records then you should get your money back. Suppose you wanted to change banks when they increased the charge, you would not know. Find out who the banking regulators are, you have them, get your records together, make copies and send the regulators a letter explaining the whole thing ask them to revivew and to please get your money returned to you. As well tell the bnk you are thinking about suing them for deliberate fraud in taking your money without notification, don't let them do this to you. Take care. Please let me know how this turns out. Hi artistry, Thanks for the advise. I have requested for my bank statement account and i will get the result after a month. I told them that i didnt get any notice knowing that i stayed home always because i had just finished my studies and theres no reason for me to get the mailed notice if ever they have sent one for me. But then the employee told me that its not their problem anymore if i didnt get the notice. So at that time i felt hopeless, I saw my account balance, from 13000 it goes down to 20.00, how was that, its so surprisingly. Do banks have a copy of noticed they have sent to their client?

oh great. what a thievery these banks are doing. i had the same experience before. i use to have 500 remaining balance in my account. then suddenly, the bank increased the maintaining balance to 1000. i only noticed that my remaining balance was less than 100. i was so disappointed that i had to withdraw the remaining and i couldn't get the money they deducted from the penalty i never new. so i thought banks are helping us save. they are thieves on the other hand.

Hello there...I'm so sorry about your situation.
Sometimes life has the cruel way of giving us many problems.
But don't lost hope because in every problems there's always a solution.
Just pray and don't lost hope. You can make it. Stay cool and positive always.

That is very sad to hear it.I think you should have updated your passbook at frequent intervals even if there are no transactions.Only then you can keep up with the changes of the bank.I had a bitter experience like this because of my negligence like what I have stated.The bank will not give back anything even if you can prove that your mail was not served.In the future,be keen to track your account.Let us expect good things to follow.

Hi srgnesh, Thanks to you. Yah I know i cant have back my money anymore. I am just careless i think for me to misplaced my passbook. Anyways my mom told me that,God is wise, He knows what to do dont worry. And i believe her. Theres nothing I can do, but to accept the fact that I am one of the unfortunate people this 2009.

hi dolly! i feel sorry about what happen, if that thing happened to me, h*ell! i will also feell upset...is't your account is saving with passbook? if it so, then you have record to back it up your claims, do they mean that your remain balance of 13000 is gone? i think you should recollect all your papers (deposit/witdrawal slips) and talk to there bank manager to give you a better explanation..13,000 is hard money to earn, you need to do something about this..go dolly kick there as*sses!! peace yah!! happy holiday!!
