Nope, no surprises this year. Just staying home as usual. I love watching kids open their gifts and watching their eyes light up with joy at seeing a toy they wanted. Nowadays it seems that gifts cards are the way most are going. With so many choices out there it is hard to figure out which to get and what they would be happiest with. I do hope that you will enjoy yourselves with your grandson. I am sure he will love spending this special time with you both. Well, my turkey is going in a Reynolds Oven bag..so I can take it alot easier..

You put what you want to cook in the bag and put it in a pan and into the oven..everything cooks in half the time. And the best part..no basting..the moisture stays in the bag and does that for you. Saves alot of time.

Well, I WAS planning on having 10 people here for Christmas but it looks like that may change. We're supposed to be getting freezing rain on Christmas day. That is NOT something anyone should be traveling in. You just cannot drive on ice! Way too dangerous!!!
I have had Christmas at my house since my kids were young. My good friend and her family, plus my family, have always come to my house on Christmas day. They'd do their dinner and gift exchanging on Christmas Eve, then spend Christmas day with my family.
We were planning it this year, too, but it looks like the weather is going to change things. If I have to plan this dinner for the following weekend, I will.
I hope you have perfect weather and all goes according to plan for you on Christmas day. Enjoy!

I hope you don't get bad weather. Walking, even in a couple inches of snow, is not safe. If you do get snow, please be very cautious and be extra careful. I'm sure I didn't have to tell you that but I just want to make sure you stay safe.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas this year will be church service in the morning, and then followed by my cell group coming over to my home for a party. it's a pot luck party, and a surprise one which means that we don't know what everyone else is bringing! so hopefully there will be a good variety of food from the Go Grow and Glow food groups!

I will be eating at a restaurant. My daugher and my grandson are invited to her boyfriend's familie's for the day. I don't mind. I remember a Christmas breakfast I went to once at my mother-in-law's house. She fixed this delicious egg souflet that was marvelous and had all the fixings to go with it. Quite a memory!

Walker and i are going to go to Toronto for Christmas, and we are going to stay in what I consider to be the nicest hotel in canada.

I have stayed there before, and I mentioned it to my husband. He wants to see it. We had a bit of crazy family drama (both sides) and decided to make our own plans this year, and do something just for us.
We're going to wrap up all of our presents before we go, and put them in our suitcases. Then we are going to unwrap them under the big tree in the hotel lobby. :) We'll take my laptop, and try to open them infront of the webcam, so we can put them all up on line. :)
We are also going to get a couple of massages. :) We're going to have a great time in the pool, and in the hot tub.

I have always been fortunte to have my parents nearby and that my 4 children come to me at Christmas! The oldest lives about 5 hours way and he alternates coming to our home or his wife's parents home each Christmas. It is their year to come here and I am very excited! The two youngest are home from collge and the middle one lives in this city. I am blessed! We did travel to the oldest son's house one year...at the time he was living 8 hours away. It was fun!

This year we are having Christmas here at my house and my mother and her boyfriend are going to be coming over for dinner. We went to their place for Thanksgiving so now I will be doing Christmas. It is easier for us to do Christmas here that way the kids are able to still enjoy their toys for the day without worrying about traveling that day. We used to have my husbands mother and sister in as well but his mom moved a few states away ans his sister has been doing Christmas with her father so it is just my mom that is left....
