Are you satisfied with the amount of closet space you have in your home? Would you want more closets, or would you want to lessen the amount of clothes you have accumulated?

Does anyone ever have enough closets? I don't, I would like mine to be bigger so I could use them for some extra storage of seasonl items. I get tires of packing away summer clothes in the winter and winter clothes in the summer. I would like to just rotate them in the closets, but that's not going to happen. Our house was built in the early 1900's and evidently closets weren't a big thing back then..there are a couple of storage rooms in the basement that were built for storing food, so now that's wear I have to tote and store stuff I would rather keep in the closets.

...jewels, I am sorry for all the mistakes. As I was correcting my message, my computer froze and printed the message with all my mistakes. Happy holidays.

I have enough closet space for my clothes and my husband clothes. I do have a few more items in my closet I should get rid of because I do not wear them anymore or they are just not the right size for me now.

....Hi again happy, The last part of your comment sounds just like my closet. Some of the things hanging in there, I couldn't get into if I tried. I purchased a blouse once that I loved, silk, leopards or some animal design, beautiful blouse. But the size was smaller than what I needed, I thought, well I will use it as an incentive to lose some weight, almost a year later I wound up giving it to a girlfriend of mine who loved it. Never wore it once. Nice to know you have enough space for what you both need. Take it easy. Happy holidays to you and yours.

I live in a one bedroom apartment with my partner and we only have two closets. One closet is in the bedroom and it is a little bigger than the one in the living room. The one in the living room is a pretty tiny space to store some things like winter coats and shoes and stuff. That closet has pretty much turned into the catch all space for things that we cannot fit anywhere else. Because we don't have much closet space I kind of wish we had more shelf space. We've added several shelves in the past few months but I feel like we still don't have enough space to fit everything.

...Hi cher913, Good for you, your way of doing things with your clothes makes good sense. My closets, although not really, really large, could use a bit of culling. Every now and then I will give some of my clothes away, and try not to fill up the space that is then available. I could actually give away some more and perhaps I will in time. It takes me forever to do anything. Thanks so much for your response. Sorry for the delay in my return comment. Take care and happy holidays.

Yeah, every single room in the house had this double door cabinet in it. Its quite huge and I think it will fit four people in it. Thats big enough for each ones clothes to fit in. And every year, my wife would remove all the clothes thats already do not fit to our children and donated it to charity.

...Hi Fulltank, Thanks for sharing. Well it sounds as though everything is pretty much in good shape in the Fulltank home. The closet space is adequate and the system is very efficient. Nice to know about the recycling to charties, now adays everybody could use any help they can get. Your family is very generous, good for you. Take good care.
