Who is doing the cooking Christmas day?

Who will be cooking Christmas dinner in your house this year? This year my partner is cooking it as I do the majority of the cooking during the year and he said he wants to give me a break. All I have to do is what he calls my special gravy as I do it to a recipe that was passed down to me by my late mother-in-law. I also do the veggie roast for me and my eldest son as my partner is not too sure how to cook it. Then after dinner our five kids will do the washing and tidying up so everyone does something on Christmas day. So who does the dinner in your house? Or do you go out for dinner? Do you have a special recipe passed down to you that only you know how to cook?

Hi, littleone3. I will be doing all the cooking, so to speak. I don't have any special recipes that were passed down from another generation to now. I am not that sure what I will be cooking for Christmas. I know that whatever I make it will be delicious. I am happy to know that your husband is going to help you out with the cooking on Christmas. You deserve a break!

As usual I will be, but I think this will be our last big Christmas day dinner. I am considering changing our big dinner to Christmas eve. That way on Christmas day I can just enjoy everyone using their new gifts and hanging out with family while we eat the leftovers from the night before. I'm getting tired of spending a large part of christmas day in the kitchen.

I don't blame you I remember I use to feel that way before I was with my partner.

Hi littleone, I love Christmas festival and I enjoy seeing all the fascinating decoration with Santa Claus and Christmas tree with all kinds of lovely stuffs hanging on it in the restaurants, banks as well as the shopping malls. I'm glad all the races with different religions here can have this grad day as our public holidays. It's so cheerful that the majority of the people here join in the jubilation on this grand festive day Though we don't celebrate Christmas day as Christians do, but I was really happy that my husband had invited me to enjoy the Christmas set dinner available in a nearby hotel restaurant. The environment was so well decorated and peaceful as well. The tranquil room was deep in Christmas festive atmosphere as well as the soft and melodious Christmas background music made the surrounding more comfortable and pleasant Take care and happy posting!

Hi, littleone! That will be me. My girlfriend is at work the whole day, and I must prepare everything- the meals, the desserts, the table decoration. Everything and I also am happy, just because I love doing it- I love cooking and decorate everything!

Hi Shame your girlfriend has to work but she is very lucky to have you to do it all for her. I think it makes it easier if you enjoy doing it all. Merry Christmas.
