Do you go to the library with a plan?

Here's a question for you avid library-goers: do you go the library with a plan, or do you usually just "wing it" when you get there? As far as which books you rent?
I'm just curious because this past week I went to the library twice, once with a list of books that I looked up on their catalog (which was time consuming, I'll admit) but I had it all figured out when I got there. Then again, I went about two days later, without a plan at all, and found myself lost and ended up picking random books that I now realize I don't have any interest in. 
. Wasteful, I know!
What about you? Are you the type of person who needs to have everything planned out ahead of time, or can you go to the library and browse until you find something you think you'll be interested in?

i like to go library sometimes when i have spare time to go library and reading some romantic novels and spiritual too when i am free i like to spend my full day in library.

There are some books I plan to get, but there are others that I will pick up off the shelves without having planned to read them. I won't pick up books at random. I read the back summary and determine whether or not I'd want to read that kind of story. Then I'll be browsing and I'll find a book by an author that my friends like or that I've heard a lot about and I'll pick that up too. I rarely plan beforehand.

I do both. My library has a website, and on that site you you can search their database. It is good way to find books by a certain author or books about a topic that you are interested in. If you can't find the book in their database, you can find the book at another library and ask them to send the book to your local library. There is a huge database where we can search all libraries in the country, I often use that one if I can't find the book that I am looking for.
Sometimes I use the database, and sometimes I just go to the library without planning what to borrow. I usually find something just by looking at the books, because I am interested in a lot of different topics and I read many different kinds of books.

i never plan out before going to library which will basically help me to explore all the types of books available in the library.
when i was in high school i use to go to library early in the morning and read what ever i get there and will go home when it gets close.

I honestly try to have a plan but I often get there an get too excited about books I don't need and I end up taking out a much larger number of books than I'd intended to.
