have you ever made your own christmas cards?

This year, just like last year, I made my own christmas cards to send. I think I made about 16 in total, and added something new this year, a family newsletter. I think it's more personal to make my own cards, especially since craft is my hobby. I just cut out some icons from the christmas themed scrapbooking paper, and did some inking, tearing and stamping, and voila! it was done!

Nice Square! This is awesome and fun too! Last year i did make my own Christmas Cards. It was my puppies first Christmas with me. We took her picture, in her Santa's outfit and sent it out to all our friends and family. It was a real hit to say the least. A lot of fun! (see below) The caption read "Have a Dawg Gone Happy Christmas". This year, since we moved and it has been so extremely busy, I was late getting cards out never mind making any. I wished I had had more time. Oh well. We used to make all of our cards as Children, except for Valentines. The bought ones were so much fun! I love your post. Thanks and Have a Warm, Safe and Happy Christmas to you and yours! Cheers.

It is something I thought about doing, but never got around to it. I think its neat to make your own cards. It gives a unique spin.

I used to design and silk screen not only my own cards but also my Mom and Dads and a few other peoples that would pay me for them. I had so much fun doing it and making a few dollars extra spending money. It's been a long time and I have given thought to doing it again as the price of Christmas cards is outrageous and by the time you combine that cost with the price of postage it makes it prohibitive to send cards every year.

Some years ago I made my own christmas cards, it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed making them. Unfortuneately my ex-boyfriend was tired of the mess on the table where I had been making them, and he put them away in a storage room in the basement. I found them after christmas, most of them were ruined, because my ex had just thrown them into the room. I was furious at him, and we had a big argument. I am married to someone else now, and I know that my husband would never do the same thing to me, but I haven't made my own christmas card since that time. Maybe next year

This year, just this year, I have to make my own Christmas card. My teacher wants us to make a Christmas card for him. It must be our own creation. Really, and I haven't started yet! LOL. We got a time limit 'till Jan 2010.

I used to make my own cards. And I drew them myself. Mostly of the festivals and holidays, I would be busy designing my own cards. Then we grew up. Got married and moved away. No one ever renewed their address with me. So the cards I sent out became lesser and lesser. Till one day, I never sent them out no more. Now, I still design cards. But only for close friends and family.

I used to make my own Christmas cards when I was younger (elementary and high school days). I have time to do some recently. A huge factor is the presence of technology too. though it is a lot better to give and receive personalized stuff, i am just too busy to do them so i end up sending emails or text messages ... :(
