My ps2 is not working properly its making a (funny noise) and stopping and starting every few seconds, and it wont read any disk. HELP please can someone tell me if theres something I can do to fix it, I saved for a long time to get my old ps2 and I really cant afford another one right now, what if anything can I do to fix it.

The first thing I would suggest is grab a CD lens cleaner. It may just be a dusty lens that's keeping your PS2 from reading your disks. If you don't have one at the moment, open the cd tray and blow air inside using a vacuum cleaner to dislodge any grime or dust that may have accumulated on top of the lens. Other than that, it's best to have the thing checked by a qualified technician. By the way, check the disks you're inserting. If the cd's have way too many scratches on their surface, your PS2 won't be able to read it.
