After months of downtime and maintenance, demonoid.com is back. For torrent enthusiasts, this is the best and safest website to download trusted torrents. We members are all glad that it came back with only small casualties on data.
The only thing is that sign up is still a problem for new user coz invitation code are still needed to signup:D

Invitation codes have always been a requirement anyway since the beginning. And I don't see it as a problem. It's an ingenius way in fact to weed out selfish leechers and make every user responsible for themselves and for the people they give invite codes.
And while I'm glad Demonoid's back, I hope and I pray it won't end up the same way Mininova did. ^^

Mininova didn't ended, it is just that some files are deleted but they are still up. You can still download torrent from there.
May I correct you, at the beginning, they are letting people signup but eventually closed registration so they can buff their security. And may I repeat what I said, "signing up is still a problem for new user" I can see that you are not a new demonoid user so obviously you can't have a problem with that right? :D

I was very sad when demonoid was down for a while. That is great news that they are back. I love torrents with the demonoid tag since you can always count on them being legit. Almost all my torrents are from demonoid. Any idea what happened to cause the site to be down for a while. I'm curious to know.

From what I know, someone hacked their database and deleted datasl. The backup they needed for restoring the site is in vacation that time so they have to wait until he comes back. The process of restoring files for the site to run again with minimum casualties took too long but it is okay because the site is back for us again :D
