Do you attend High School Reunion?

We have a high school grand alumni homecoming today and tomorrow. I was out of my country when I learned about it. In order to help the association spread the news, I created a facebook alumni group and an alumni forum. It was very effective because they started participating in the discussions and excited to meet old classmates and schoolmates. But some people think that reunion is for successful individuals and those who did not continue their education in college and jobless are most likely to ignore the invitations. But I still have classmates, friends and students (I was a former teacher in that school) that are willing to make fun and enjoy this opportunity of meeting former classmates, friends and teachers.

hello again alohagems! oh, last november my high school batch held our very first reunion...everybody's excited about it and facebook also plays a big part in the success of the reunion...but too bad, i was not able to attend! huh! simply because it don't fit to my sched... how i wish i can attend to that reunion...i really miss my classmates as well as the fun we had... i think reunions is not only for successful individuals....its for all to bring back the good times we have when we are still in school...but i also understand the feelings of some not really successful people in not wanting to attend events like this...maybe they feel some insecurity or whatever... but for me, whether i become successful or not, i think i would still want to be part of this event! good day!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your response in my discussion. I attended the high school reunion when I went to the Philippines. There are only3 of us in our batch but after the meeting, they shared each other contact numbers of some of our classmates and we were able to send messages.

Yes I do. I Belong to Govt. Engineering College Aurangabad. We Affectionately call it as GECA(pronounced Gee-Kaa). This Year we had the reunion held in one of the metropolitan city of India i.e. Pune. And i was delighted to see 30 year old pass outs bragging about our college. They shared their lovely memories of their initial days of engineering, their lab works and assignments etc. I Felt proud to be among such a group and especially when many of them are successful Indian industrialists. We had lovely interaction, fun, food and bash. Thanks for posting such a good topic that i became nostalgic. Cheers ~Abhi

I dropped out of high school so I'm not really part of any alumni. It would be pretty funny and weird to see all the people I went to high school with when they were like twenty years older or whatever.

Very true about seeing your classmates after 10 , 20 or more years.
