Are there more places to go?

One of my friends goes to Spain every year. He doesn't wish to see any other parts of the world. He thought it was stupid of me to travel around the world. He considered it was waste of money. On it I saw the white sails of the opera house and the gray harbor bridge. I loved snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. I enjoyed watching the orangutans in Sumatra. Which places are there to go to apart from Spain? Have you been on a trip to another country in world? Where would you like to go?

I enjoyed visiting Spain, but I've also enjoyed visiting other parts of the world. Your friend clearly knows what he likes, but that doesn't mean he knows what everybody likes.

There are lots of places to go to. There are so much different natural beauty in different areas in the world, I just can't name everything what I want to see. I think your friend is missing everything else in the world only going to one place every year.

There are many places for me to visit now. I would love to see England, Switzerland and Germany, and all of Europe on a bike tour. And also, I want to visit Australia some day. I have too many places to visit in my own country. And, I have a lot more to explore with the Himalayas, which I haven't. So, yea... there are many more places to visit now. I've just visited one country so far and that's Nepal. I got to do more sooner or later.

I also know some people who like to go back to the same place over and over instead of visiting new places. I am different, because I love to visit new places/countries and it is one of my goals to visit as many parts of the world as possible. I live in Europe and I have already visited many of the other European countries, but I would like ti visit the places in Europe when I haven't been yet for instanse Romania and Bulgaria, and after that I would like to travel around in Asia and in Africa. I also have some friends from Australia who I would like to visit one day.

Well, I would never go into thinking that just 1 part of the world is good or great for touring and traveling and others are not. I think there are many countries across the globe which offer unique experiences- in terms of culture, sights, mountains, plains, rivers, valleys, foods, buildings etc. I would like to go to : 1) USA to see some of the great huge buildings as well as places like Niagra Falls. 2)Switzerland, NewZealand to walk in snow or see many of the hills there. 3)many South-East Asian countries to see their cultures. 4)Maldives or Mauritius for their sea beaches. Regards

Dear Maximax8, I have only been to one part of Spain, that is Malaga and Granada. I hope to visit Barcelona and Madrid, Spain. However, to answer your question, apart from Spain, which part of the world will I want to visit. I thinks I would like to visit South Africa for an adventure trip like the Safari. Hainan Island and New Zealand is also in my 'wish list' for 2010. Hope I can visit those exciting and wonderful places soon. Wishing you and family a wonderful New Year 2010.

Travel - One needs years to cover each nook and corner of the world to discover it.
Every country is unique and so are the States that these countries comprise of. What you see in one State you will not see in other States. So there is never a thing like one has had enough of anything. In India for example what we can experience with their snowy mountains in Kashmir we will not see that in Kanyakumari the bottom most part of India and so on. I have travelled quite a bit in India,Nepal, Singapore,Bangkok, Australia, New Zealand,Canada, USA,a cruise in the Bahamas and 7 countries of Europe, each so unique and individualistic. I still want to see more and my next dream is Alaska all going well.

haha, i love travel as well, even though i still have no opportunity to go to spain. My time schedule and the money budget always can not afford my wishes~~ For travelling, many people have different idea. In my parents' opinion, they considered the long trip waste the money, waste the time, and importantly make you exhausted. No matter how beauties the scenery is, they can not balance out the above loss. That is my parents' opinion, but for me, the scenery and special experience absolutely can balance out such cons. I still believe we can learn more and embody more during the journey.

Well, Americans don't seem to be too popular in Europe these days, and I don't think they were ever to popular in Asia. I've been to Australia and New Zealand. I'd enjoy going anywhere. Well, not France. Or the Middle East of course. Greenland is looking pretty good to me right now...lol

I like travelling around, i think your friend going to the same place have his/her reasons. But i love snorkeling too, and i like hiking and trecking too! I've been to Thailand and Phillipine, and Malaysia is our next destimation, we are going there in Sept, 2010. I love the different culture, food, people, learning things new everyday is a good thing. Have you ever been to China, if not, China is a good place to visit.

Hi Maxine, Spain is a beautiful country but I donĀ“t feel anyone has the right to call anyone stupid for not sharing his ideas. You know I have been to many places. I specially loved the south of Spain but it is always among other places. What really bothers me is that I have more wishes to travel than time or money. Still, I want to see MachuPicchu before I die. And now, meeting here so many friends from India, I wish I could visit India too. Hug!

Hi maximax I think your friend is very narrowed mind. There are so many places to visit that i think one life isnt enough. Spain(Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastian) is a great country to visit, Italy(Rome, Venece, Florence), France(paris), and many more countries on Europe, a lot of cities of USA(Miami, Seattle, Chicago, Washington). South America have beatiful places as well(Argentina, Brasil, Peru, etc). Asian countries like China or Japan. Australia. I cant say too much of Africa as i havent heard too much from there, except for Egypt. I really havent had the chance to visit any of this countries but i hope im able to do it one day.

I have had been to other places although I have not been to Spain yet. And I think every nation has its own beauty to offer and to be experienced. I have been to a handful of places like, Hongkong, where my friend and I went shopping, saw the beautiful dancing lights, went to Disney Land and other theme parks. I have also been to Singapore, went to Sentosa theme park, saw their very own Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, toured around their beautiful, clean and very organized city. I have also been to Malaysia, climbed up the Petronas tower (through an elevator or course), toured their city, ate their delicious dishes, went up to Genting highlands and played around their theme park on top of the mountains. Also I have explored my own country the Philippines, who has hundreds of beautiful islands, beaches, mountains, volcanos, hills and historical places. I've been to Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin, Palawan, Coron, Tagaytay, Batangas, Puerto Galera, Bicol, and of course my home town, the capital city Manila. Although most of these are Asian countries and I am yet to tour around Europe but I hope to do that someday. Now I am living in Canada and exploring this vast and beautiful country. The next places that I plan to visit is Hawaii, Las Vegas and New York, then maybe after that I'll plan to tour Europe. If you love to travel, I'd say keep an open mind and learn to see the beauty of every place you go to. Our mother earth offers so much beauty that only few people get to see in their lifetime so if you are blessed to be able to do so then I'd say go and see the world and don't limit your horizon.
