We did not go to our local Christmas parade this year, and we did not have a chance to watch one on TV. Did you see a parade this year either in person or on TV?

I brought my family to Disneyland over the Holidays but left on Christmas Eve because the crowds double on Christmas Day. So, instead of watching the nationally televised Disney parade in person on Christmas, we watched from the comfort of our living room. My kids were disappointed but we explained that there is a better view on the tv. We did have friends that stayed to watch in person and they said that people were lined up outside of the park from the wee hours in the morning just to wait for the gates to open so they could rush into the park to find a good spot for their family to sit. This is definitely not something I would have done.

You probably did get a better view on TV the crowds are so large to see the parade it is difficult to even see it there.

No we never really had a chance to go t a parade this year or to even watch one ont TV, we were really busy this year. We had a lot of things that we had to get done and people to see. It would have been nice to sit down and watch a parade on TV, but we did not have that kind of time this year. Sometimes we will watch teh Easter parade we tend to ahve a bit more time then.

In my town the Christmas parade is the day before Thanksgiving. It was a cold and raiy night which is crazy for Wisconsin in November. We went to the parade but by the end of it we were soaked. I have to say it was exseptionally good this year. I haven't gone for a few years since the kids are all older but my granddaughter had turned 3 so she was finally old enough to stand outside and watch the parade. The parade goes through the downtown area in the evening and the local companies produce floats which they work on for about a month ahead of time. It is greatto see all the hard work put into a parade for a small town. Local school bands march but due to the rain they were not able to play their instruments. Too bad because that is one of my favorite parts of a parade.

No, we turned the tele off because we watch too much of it, well, only two channel, Nick and Disney, they converted the Cartoon Network over to HD and I have to go get a box, it would be easy to do but I'm sick of television so I haven't done it. Don't tell the kids, they don't know.
