hi fellow mylotters! just finished reading an article saying that people are generally welcoming 2010 with more hope than fear. numbers are off the charts and an overwhelming number of respondents for the survey say they view 2010 positively. i for one think that 2010 will be better than 2009. i'm geared up to do everything and even go to greater lenghts to make 2010 a standout year not just for me but more importantly for my daughter and family as well. i'm looking at 2010 with renewed optimism but i'm grounded and not setting unreal expectations. after what happened to me this 2009, i think i deserve to look after myself first and ensure that i'm in the best health so that i may accomplish what i want for my daughter and family. i just what to get everyone's thoughts about 2009 and their views and plans for 2010. cheers!!!

Last 2009 is also not good for me I suffered hormonal imbalance and my family always got sick. I'm hope that this coming 2010 will be better and prosperous. My country suffered a lot because of the calamities and crisis we are hoping that this year the economy going to be well. We are still optimistic that we going to have a good life this year.

For me 2009 was a roller coaster ride. Lost an old friend and a new love. Lost 35 pounds and gained 40-50 back. Had some horrorible scenes with my granddaugher and she became pregnant and turned 18, in that order. I hope 2010 will have more good and less bad. I hope yours is the same.

that was indeed one rollercoaster ride you had there celticeagle. the weight loss/weight gain and of course the issue with your granddaughter, from my viewpoint, was heartwrenching. i'm hoping will you do celticeagle. more of the good, none of the bad for us in 2010!!! cheers!!!

hi allen I for one am so glad this rotten horrid awful year has finally come to a close. all year my poor son a computer programmer with years of experience still has not got a job after having been laid off months and months back. so it fixed my own life too as I had no place to go but to live here where I really do not want to be in a retirement center. oh I am treated like a queen but I cannot do my own cooking, I cannot put my own medications in my week planner, I cannot clean my room, its all down for me, damn do you have any idea of what it is like to not have anything to do,so I mylot a lot.we were living together in our two bedroom apartment until we were evicted. I am 83 and so what I can do for myself if I just had a home again. so am hoping that things change for me and my son this new year. Happy New Year to youl

hi hatley! sad to read about what you went through last 2009. good thing is that is all over and done with and you get a new lease on life so to speak with your son. unemployment has really been bad what with the recession and all. hopefully, he gets some sort of work so he can have some income and both of you can start living together again. living in a retirement center can't be all that bad hatley. i do know where you are coming from. i've seen some elderly who simply want to do things on their own. completely understand what you are saying there. at least you have mylto to keep you busy. keep typing in those responses and discussion and i won't tire of reading and responding back. here's hoping to a better 2010 for you and your son. cheers!!!

..Hi there allen0187, Whenever a new year arrives, it only makes good sense that we encourage ourselves to believe that it will bring better things than have happened in the past. Thinking positively and doing those things as you say, which will make us healthier mentally and physically is what we should try to do as we go forward. It is vital that we try to help others as much as we can, as it usually returns to us many times over. Hopefully the country will be protected by good forces and that the evil in the world will be reduced and subdued. That people will learn to care for and love each other more as the years go on. That we can all survive and prosper together. A happy and safe New Year to all.
