Yes, I shop online. I make sure I have security software (anti spyware, anti virus, etc), plus you have to make sure you have a secure connection. Some credit cards will let you create a Safe Shop Credit Card Number (my MC lets me do that). That way if someone tries to steal it, I have already set a spending limit and can cancel it at any time. I use PayPal a lot because I am on eBay. Many websites use PayPal because it's easy for them to not process the payment. Just be careful out there. Read all the fine print if you get a free trial, use your head. Happy myLotting!

I forgot to mention, NEVER use credit or debit information if you're on a public Wifi connect (unsecured Wifi) because any browsing activities can be monitored/recorded. All it would take is someone to use a program to record what is transfered over unsecured Wifi, and I'm sure that's how some people

Hello sahilpadhiyar20 me too am not havign an credit card of myself but often do some shopping online from mine friends credit card. And its till now reliable to use it in online shopping sites atleast, mostly we go for ebay, Alibaba site.Well i use my friends credit card to buy an item on online shopping sites and pay them whatever its charged.Usually we have to enter the card number in order to process the request of transaction.Think its safe to use credit card for shopping online, but never tried it at any online earning sites for upgrading and etc purpose.Mostly prefer to have bank deposit option for other e-currency requirements.Anyways enjoy your online shopping, Happy mylotting.

I have not opted for a credit card but I have a debit card which is quite safe to use online although many suppliers do not recognise it. With the kind of hackers that one finds on the Net it is not advisable to be generous with using credit cards online.

Keep that in Mind before making any transaction that.you pc should be clean from viruses,trojans,Mal-wares & Key-loggers etc.,you must have an updated & top-rated firewall installed on your system, the website should be authorized with a "trust pass" or "BBB" Certified....! About me:that I must tell you if I had a credit card then i would hardly use it on Internet Because of Huge Risk remains there.......!

I usually order online for my handbooks and materials for training. I do this every month. When I first ordered, I asked them if it was safe to send my card details online. So they sent me a secured link where I can send them an information. It was just a one time setting. From there on, all I need to do is just send an email about my order and no need for the credit card details considering that they already have a record of my account. It is really important to check the sites where you make an order before sending your card details. We know that there are a lot of scams out there.

sahilpadhiyar20 of course you give your credit card number as that is the only way the site you are shopping with can withdraw the payment from your bank. the trick is not to do business with any online company that does not display the protected key and lock in the left hand side bottom of your screen. these signify it is a protected site. my bank account on line also has this symbol in the lower bottom left hand side of your screen. do not trust any company that does not display this sign. I have carried on buying from reputable sites and doing my banking on the net for many years with no security problem at all. Those with the symbol have a number of safeguards in place to avoid fraud, scams and spam. if you visit a site and want to buy from them you must see that symbol or do not trust them, they have no safeguardt and you are taking a huge risk also if you bank online you must see this sign or do not bank at that site.

Yes, but I have a specific credit card that I use just for that and it has a low balance, so I can keep control over it. Someone did get my credit card number a couple of months ago and they did buy some stuff but my credit card company caught it right away and called me and the spending was haulted right then and there, and they credit card company did not make me pay for anything.

i do shop online, i am careful i tendto stick to the places i have used before, i also use a reloadable card that way if they try to use that card they wont be able too and i can canel it right away. i only load the amount i need to cover all costs and dont use the card again till i need it to shop online again.some site have something called verisign or somehting like that and it promises to be safe and hacker free, so far i havent had any bad experiences with the places i shop online.

I often shop online using my credit card. I look for the security lock and make sure that it is a trusted website before doing so. I have never had my credit card number stolen for an online site before but have had it stolen twice from retail merchants where I went in to shop. There are risk everywhere you go if you use a credit card just make sure you monitor your statements and report anything that you did not purchase. Most credit card companies will monitor purchases and block things that are out of the ordinary.

After all, that's how MyLot is going to pay thru my Paypal someday. Fraud/spam emails on online transaction are a BIG headache cos' sometimes we just don't know which are the real one.Be alert & stay alert! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 regards, david tay

Yes I do. While there are scams out there and one should always be careful, there are also reputable companies that have websites that protect your information. A lot of credit card companies also have the option of receiving a one time code for this exact reason, once it is used it becomes invalid, so that even if some scam artist out there were able to grab it they would have no use for it.

No I don't shop on line I don't because of hackers and scams! Although if I did I do pay for a service through my bank called Privacy Assist where they monitor everything and all charges being made and know when it is not me and they will alert me. But I still would'nt and never have and probably never will.
