My wish for 2010 is to send a verse a day to my two kids. The internet gives me no excuse to not follow through with this. We are all on Facebook, MySpace and we have emails, of course. Scripture from God's Word (the Living Bible) are Words to live by. Here's something for all my MyLot friends. Hope everyone has an awesome year! For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) If He had plans for His people while they were still slaves in a strange land, surely He has plans for us all.

That's a great idea! I would send one to my kids too, but only one would actually read them. I can hope, though! (And pray)

Oh, Peavey, I so agree with Rainie (and you). Anything is possible with the Lord. Plus I know if we are faithful to pray for our kids we will see miracles. I am also sure God hears our prayers.

Not a thing wrong with that; There are some sites that allow you to send verses or link up witht them so you can fullfill your wish for this year or you can do it yourself as well. Wish you well on that. I remember a friend of mine she had two kids and they acted up so bad that she gave them a watch and a Bible that year. No lie.

Yeah, I go to BibleGateway dot com. But I figure if I'm going to send scripture, I should set an example to both by reading God's Word myself. It seems like an easy thing to do, but you do have those days when one forgets. I gave both my kids their Bibles which were given by their grandparents as Christmas gifts years ago. So, by the way, what did the watch symbolize, if anything. Very interesting.

What a good idea. I would assume that giving the watch would be a reminder that the "time is near" or "you never know when your time comes". I wonder how the kids reacted. I would think it would help put things into perspective: looking at the watch daily would remind them of the bible given and then whether they are living right. Very interesting:)

I agree. I will have to think about giving them a watch or perhaps really cool clocks.

I like the verse and I truly believe in that scripture and I will take dwon notes so that when I am having a problem I will try to remember it to make it understand and to accept it easily. You’re a very loving mother Gtargirl.

I think that is a very good idea. I have not taken the time to read much of the Bible myself. I have a very hard time understanding alot of it. I need to take more time for it this year.

I think we probably could give more time to reading the Bible. One chapter a day doesn't seem to take more than a few minutes. Then we can give it all day to meditate on it. It's all good. If you get the NIV version, it might be easier for you to understand.

Thanks Rainie. I do the same with my email and facebook accounts. Um Debby de Quilettes/Alten . . . By the way, "Life is fragile. Handle with Prayer," is on the frame of my license plate. Have an awesome year, my friend.
