Hi artistry, it's got to be the stuff from a few decades ago which gets my feet tapping, Motown mainly, or something really predictable like WMCA, I will Survive, and Relax from Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Excess oranges, it was suggested today I just take more fresh ones. We were stood in heaps of the things underfoot collecting mandarinis today, the smell of those straight from the tree ummmmmmmmm

...Hey thea, Thanks for your response. Motown was the definite rage over here, the number of groups that Barry Gordy had on board was amazing, the Temptations, the Supremes and all the others, were always putting out foot tapping songs ever so often. I lovvved Relax, you had or I had to start bobbing my head and moving my arms, even if I didn't get up to dance, whenever that song would come on the radio. Music is great, will take you out of a bad mood most of thetime. TIE (take it easy) Did you make use of your excess oranges?

How about Chantilly Lace and A Tiger/Lion? Walks Tonight? The Temptations, Supremes, and Ottis Redding. Setting On The Dock Of The Bay. I am so bad with names. Eric Claptons songs. Hey, and if you are a heavy rock fan you might get excited over The Mothers of Invention. And I love all the music from Woodstock.

...Hey there celticeagle, Your list is filled with great groups, and great songs, Baby Love, Stop in the Name of Love, my Surpremes favorites. Loved the sound of the voices and the music in a Lion Walks Tonight. Otis Redding with Dock of the Bay, what a song? Temptations were the sexiest of groups. Eric Clapton's music I play over and over again now, sad about his son. Thanks so much for sharing, we like some of the same great music. Woodstock will live on and on. :o) Happy 2010.

Happy 2010 to you as well. Yes, those bands are special. Woodstock is a definite favorite of mine. I really like classical rock but it depends on my mood.

I may grow so old, but New Wave Music will remain as youthful in my memories. This type of music genre which came out in the latter part of the 70's and early 80's is described by most as upbeat, carefree, free-spirited and happy-go-lucky music. Most of the noted New Wave artists for me are Ultravox (with Midge Ure), The Cure, The Police, U2, The Psychedelic Furs, Billy Idol, Depeche Mode, and a whole lot more. Due to this genre's unprecedented success in music history, some New Wave hits are still being included in recent movie soundtracks.

...Hi there bananarepublica, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy yourself. I totally agree with you. I love it when I watch a movie, and they have a lot of the old songs that I love included in the soundtrack. Loved the Police, love U2. Some of today's music gets my attention, but the old songs are what remain in my mind, as some of the greatest music to listen to. Thanks so much for your response and take care.
