Do you use ecobags?

The supermarket I usually go to only offers plastic bags, but no alternatives, so short ago I got an ecobag. It's nice to carry groceries, and as it's made of cloth I can wash it. I'm happy with my ecobag, as I'm not using that much plastic bags anymore. Have any of you gotten a special bag to carry groceries? Do you like it? Do you still prefer plastic bags or any other kind?

This groceries store is selling ecobags. Some groceries here even offer paper bags for small stuffs. But unfortunately majority of the groceries here are still using those eco-not-so-friendly plastic bags. But I have my own ecobag for everything else in which I can substitute it for plastic bags and I make sure I dispose those plastic bags properly.

I didn't use ecobags before hand, but right now We have no choice in my city.Since the supermarket were using too much plastic bags and it really hurted the environment a lot.So our government enforce a law thatif anybody use plastic bag from the supermarket will have to pay an extre 50 cents for each bag.It is a ggod way to force people to take their ecobag along when they leave home.It is surely a good education and a practical way to make people using less plastic bag in our city.I think ther law is working and we don't use plastic bags like what we did before .It is a good thing.I appreciate the laws in Singapore many years ago as well.Anybody saying bad and dirty words in the public or didn't flush the toilet will be charged and it really works for thrie country. On th eother hand ,their civilian education are impportant for thie success as well.Good habits starting in early age.I think if all human knows how to behave in a proper or a considerable way to others will be good enough. But unfortunately, people are all selfish in this world nad only through laws will make people behave in a certian way.A simple thing such as how to use a bag still needs education and laws to push other people to do it,no wonder why people will drive with a drunk mind and hurting others in the traffic.Human being...Mmmmm,surely need to take them by force.some how,too much freedom may not be a good thing.Have a good day.

In many supermarkets in the UK they are phasing out plastic bags at the moment which i think is great. I always try and use my ecobags but often I end up forgetting them, particulary if I pop into the shop on the way home from somewhere. Other shops in the UK charge for plastic bags which I think is also good. I do find that if I have plastic bags I always re-use or recycle them but I always strive to use my ecobags.

Yes, I have some really cute ones from Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood (two famous designers) that I use when I go grocery shopping. It makes it a bit more fun, and you are protecting the environment! What could be better than that? I can highly recommend investing in a really cool and pretty ecobag for those who want to start carrying them. If yours is top of the line, believe me, you won't forget it!

I don't usually get bags. I have a really big tote purse that I'll usually use if I'm getting some small things at the grocery store. Otherwise, I'll get paper bags - because we re-use them at home (and sometimes using those 'eco' bags are just a hassle if you ask me..) But I like the idea of it. It's nice that so many people are working so hard at becoming "green".
