I use cellphone as modem for connection. The advantages of wireless internet is technology that uses the fastest data transfer, the disadvantages is if you go to somewhere you need signal from hot spot. Not all the places you can use it, because only in certain places such as bus terminals, railway station, airports and malls.

Hi ramaswamyvtkv, i use a wireless internet connection from tata indicom, it's a wireless broadband connection and i'm getting good results from it. The speed vary according to the time of the day, but the speed is good. I normally get around 1mbps. The downside is the high monthly usage charges. Otherwise, i have no problems with this connection. Thank you.

I have a wireless internet connection. The advantage is that I can use it anywhere. I also have a laptop and I can use the internet in any room or outside the house if I want to. If I go on holiday somewhere in Denmark I can simply bring my laptop and my wireless internet connection, and that means I can work/study online anywhere in the country. I love the freedom that it gives me. Unfortunately my wireless internet is often slow and unstable. There are times when I can't spend more than 5 or 10 minutes online, and there are times when there is no connection at all. When that happens I usually do something else for a while and try a few hours later. It can be very frustrating if I am trying to work or study online, but I must admit that the situation has improved, and my internet connection is better than it was some months ago.

Hi, my laptop is wireless and it is really good as I don't need to sit next to the modem to use it which is handy as I can't move the modem around as it needs to sit near to the telephone socket. It seems just as fast as it did when I used to be plugged into a modem.

Wired internet connection is really fast compared to wireless ones. Signals might get disrupted and may cause connection fluctuation but the good thing about it is you don't have wires scattered around. Another advantage of it is you can use the internet connection with several computers or laptop. In terms of speed I prefer wired ones. I once had a wireless router just to keep off the cables but wired cables are less problematic than wireless if you are planning to use it in just one computer :D
