Do you take medicine immediately?

When you do not feel good, do you take medicine immediately? For example, when you have a headache, do you take aspirin or ibuprofen immediately? Or, do you wait for a few minutes because the pain might be very temporary? Are you the type of person who waits until symptoms persist before taking any medicine? Or maybe, you first go and see your doctor before taking any other actions?

If I can still bare the pain I don't take medicines. I'm usually the type of person who waits till symptoms persist, hoping the pain would just go away or the medicine would eventually take effect. The reason is because when you go to the doctor, it would cause you a lot of money since you need to pay for the consultation fee. And eventually you'll end up buying those prescriptions the doctor gave you.

Hi fourjems: I agree with you, not because of the same reasons but because I think that too much pills are bad to our body too and that if you can resist a headache this would make you stronger. Lol. XD. So I don't want to be weak. Well actually I'm a weak person, it would be worst if i should take an aspirine everyday. Thanks for your answer fourjems. Hope you are having a nice day. Happy New Year and Keep Mylotting. take Care. -Alvaro.

I usually have sore throats and colds. But whenever I do, I don’t instantly take medicines if it is still bearable. I try to use home remedies available at home first which usually works for me. I try not to depend much on medicines and antibiotics.

Whenever I feel not good and I ave some flu or colds I don't take medicine right away. There are some sickness that are being brought to us by our subconscious. You can always ask that illness to go away like using your mental power to get over your illness. It usually works on me...like if i had head ache i just instruct that pain to go away by meditating. It always works and I don't want to be dependent on medicines every time I am not feeling good with my health. Medicines have some side effects and i don't want that in my body.

I usually don't take a medicine immediately if i have head ache. I will wait for 5 hours and if symptoms persist i will take medicine and I'm not the type or person who consults a doctor, I do self medications.

I don't like taking medicine straight away. I will first waitte for the pain to ease off on it's own, and if the pain is managable but persistent I won't take medication either. If I have a very bad headache at work for example, I will take an aspirin or ibuprofen to ease the pain while I am still at work. At home I would most likely try home remedies and snug into bed trying to relax.

hi dear friend, i dont take medicine immediately. i take a lot of time. some time a day also for the headache. because my headache goes on for days. i sometimes suffer from migraine. it is really bad and i just cant stand sun an sunlight. i have to hide my self in dark room and darkness. i went for acupressure and really worked me sometimes when it is just a headache and not a migraine type of pain. it is really good. i dont just pop in medicine whenever i have pain.

Wait and watch game i employ. Normally i believe that the immune power of our body will automatically produce the necessary secretions in the blood to get rid of the pain, or body ache etc. Happy mylotting.

Hello dolce_vita. I know when to take medicine. Like for instance, if I feel that my asthma is going to attack, I immediately take my tablet and rest. When I don't feel well like having headache or flu-like symptoms, I take mild paracetamol, drink lots of water and rest. Well, it worked for me. Happy New Year!

I don't..even if the pain is horrible. I just sleep when I feel pain..I don't know why maybe because I'm afraid taking too much of it or be dependent on it every time I feel bad..=)

Hi, dolce_vita78. I usually will end up waiting to see if the pain will subside. But, if I cut myself, I will use or take some kind of pain medicine right then and there. I don't want to feel any kind of pain whatsoever. I want relief. If I have an toothache, I will take some medicine to get rid of the pain. Any pain that is persistent and annoying, I will take medicine for it. I will not let the pain go on any longer, I could not bear it. For my headaches, I will just wait a while longer to see if it will go away on its own.

I am the kind of person to not take medicine immediately. If I have headaches, I try to rest or sleep through it. I fear that if I use medicine often, I might not be able to use it if a situation calls for that medicine because my body got used to it already. I only take medicine when it is already debilitating.

It depends with the pain that i feel. if it is tolerable, i wait for a while because it might stop but if it don't , i would take mefenamic acid but if it persist i would go to the doctor the following day. it is still best to seek the advice of the doctor because the pain that we experience is a symptom of a serious illness.

When I have a headache I take medication right away. If I do not, the headache will proceed into a migraine. * Migraines for me can last several days to a week and require medication that is hard on the heart so it is best to be safe and take the milder Ibuprofen than the much stronger and more dangerous migraine medication. *

I am not a hypochondriac and never panic if something goes wrong. If i feel unwell i first take a Crocin and i have found that the illness goes away quickly. I don`t run to the doctor immediately. If the symptoms persist only then do i call a doctor and take his advice. I also never leave things too late but take action when it is needed.

I very rarely take medications of any sort, unless there is no way around it. I'll use other methods before I have to take a pill, either relaxation, laying down, wet compress, drinking water, eating something, making myself a tea or tincture. Medication is always my last ditch, when nothing else works. Don't like those compounds in my system.

I take a number of prescribed medicines. Therefore, I hesitate before taking any over-the-counter medicines because of possible bad interactions. I've never been big on using unprescribed medicines, anyway, because I usually try to ignore feeling bad or just let my body heal itself first. If it doesn't or I can't ignore it then I'll take something from the medicine cabinet. If I buy a large bottle of aspirin, it goes bad--crumbles--before I can ever use it up.

I don't like taking medicine right away. I think now days people just think grabbing medicine fixes everything even when they really don't need the medicine. I prefer to wait and see if I'm really having bad pain but if it gets really bad then I'll go to the doctor. But sometimes even doctors are guilty of the "quick fix" pain meds and don't get to the problem. My boyfriend has a reappearing bruise on his back and it's a perfect circle everytime. When we go to the emergency room they just tell us it's nothing or he hit something but we know that's not true because it keeps coming back in the same spot. The thing that irritates me is that when we want to know what's wrong they just give him pain meds and when he comes again they just say we can't keep giving you medicine yet they keep giving it to him or they just don't solve the problem.

When I get a headache, I usually try to take something right away. The reason I do this is because I read an article some time ago that said if you stop the pain as soon as possible, you will need less painkiller. Also you will feel less stress and discomfort from the pain. If I have a cold, I try not to take anything because it seems the cold lasts the same amount of time whether I take medicine or not.
