When Was The Last Time....

Not too long ago, I went on a leisure overseas trip with my family. We brought many things along - suntan lotions, sunshades, digital video camera, etc, except my laptop. Well, you see, on most days, I would be working hard on my laptop on my projects or proposals. Without it, I really can't work at all. But for that leisure trip, I just chucked it at home, and spent the next couple of days enjoying the hard-to-come-by short holiday with my family. Honestly, I didn't miss my laptop a bit, although I knew there would be tons of incoming emails waiting for me to deal with.

there are days here and there when i dont have time to use the computer. often times they are a day on the weekend, not too often during the week, though sometimes on my day off.

hello everybody and hi upsideDown pineapple, It is hard to be away from the computers thesedays. Recently only on one day I did not touch the computer that is when I was transfering the house. I could not fix the couputer that day. Otherwise atleast few hours I spend infront of the computer.

The last time I went for a full day without my computer, without being sick in some form, was actually a few years ago. At the time, my mother and I were kicked out of our house, and because I had dogs, I had to stay with my dad for a few weeks until we could find a place. My mom had stayed with her boyfriend in his tiny apartment. My dad isn't exactly the cleanest person, and for the entire three weeks I stayed with him, I was constantly cleaning and battling roaches(I know, gross). During that time, my computer remained off and unplugged. I was also kept busy because two weeks into losing our house, we did find a place to move to. But the house was in dire need of cleaning. The previous tenants trashed the house and the landlord made a deal with us. So during that final week, my computer still remained off. It's hard to believe that for three weeks I went without it. Usually if I can find something to keep me pretty busy, I won't go on the computer. But this is seldom. However, I like taking breaks at times, even if for an hour or so. Reading, napping, taking a walk, or visiting a friend usually aid me in this.

umum... thanks for bringing up this question. I can't remember when was the last time I hand off with my computer. I even bring my computer during vacation (Because I need it for work). Maybe I really should take a break.

I am only away from my computer when I am visiting family that has no internet. So for me that was in the week just before Christmas. I am so hooked on computer and the internet that it is really hard for me to abstain.

Sometimes I go for days without using it depending on if Im involved in a project or busy with something else. But on average I use it everyday. I like to play a game on it before I go to sleep. It helps to relax me.

Hi Pineapple. The last time I did that was 8 months ago. My family and I had been sick with a flu. With being as sick as I was I had no interest getting online, not even to check my emails, which I normally check throughout the day. And with this flu I didn't turn on the computer for 4 or 5 days, I think, so you know it had to be bad! As it is, I'm sick again, though it's just a cold this time, so it's not stopping me from mylotting this time around! Happy mylotting!

WHen was the last time?? I think i was about a couple of days ago?? haha =D I will definitely take a break away from my com and mylot on every weekend, for i dun want my everyday to be the same.. Doing the same stuffs.. I need some changes, so that i wont find the com boring.. haha =D Besides, i dun have much to search on the net as well, when i can have the sources somewhere else.. hehe ^_^

I cant think of a day when I went without using my computer because computers have become such a staple in my life .I spend more than 6o percent of my day on my computer.I think the only time I went without sending time on my computer was when I didnt have one and that was about two years ago

Hey, there, Your name is too long to write, lol...my last time out of computer is last month, we went to Thailand for vacation, because we are too busy to get on line, so we don't have the computer for about a week, i think can live without computer when i am on vacation, but can't image if i get back to normal life without a computer.

I'm like you, my laptop and I are almost friends! I use it everyday but the amount of time really varies! The only time that I didn't use it for a day was when my original laptop got stolen from our home back in late October. Never really realized how much I would miss it! Felt like one of my communication arms was cut off! I chat with both my sisters abit every day online and do alot of work on it too. My new laptop and I are getting to be best friends, I like it better than the 1st one I had!!

A few weeks ago when I went and stayed at my grandparent's house. I thought of it as a little retreat, a break from very busy times. I didn't take my laptop because they had the courtesy to invite me round there and take me out for a nice meal, so I thought it was only right to take nothing round and enjoy their company, instead of being glued to a computer screen.

i agree.. the last time i did not use my computer was when i was in a vacation last week. but i managed to bring my laptop . so out or the 3-day vacation, it was only 1 day where i have not used it

i think it was back in August. We had a meeting out of town and i did not bring my laptop since I know there will probably be no internet connection.

The last time I went without a full day being on the computer was not too long ago. I had my Internet out so there was nothing to do. I think this was Saturday, and then half way through Sunday. Computer days aren't that fun without Internet. During that period I read a book and played on my Playstation 3.
