or New England Coalition for Sustainable Population? What is it? Their mission is to raise awareness in New England of regional, national and global population and sustainability issues, and to strengthen regional action on these issues. The link below is a blog regarding water problems as of 2050 and such. What do you think?

Well as ya know snow in the Sierras dont provide water to NEvada it all goes to Calif.
And that would be a good job for alot of people their to build that water retention plant!.
OUr water has to come on the west side of the rockies and if they dont get much snow oops there goes alot of our water Utahs water Arizonas water and yup even Calif for it all goes to the ocean in the long run.
I wish they would devise a plan to transport all the snow they are getting in the east and dump it out here . Yup I know cost alot of money.
To a pipeline maybe to send all the flood waters out here to the west.
They put so much stuff in our drinking water now its really sucide to drink it!

That is a great idea Lakota12! Especially as there are floods in some places and drought in others! Clean it up and pipe it out..

That is a good idea but it would cost alot UNLESS communities got together and did it themselves.

I wish them luck. All the places I used to swim are sooo poluted now that no one can swim in them. Fewer and fewer places can we get decent drinking water without having to put chemicals and filters and such. Water problems as of 2050? Try living in NY State, we have water problems now.
We have zoning, but it's stupid. It has nothing to do with what's needed. My Father used to tell people that their land wouldn't support a septic system and a well. They had him put in a septic system anyway. Guess what, it poluted their well. Now they have to do perk tests and make sure that septics can actually not back up from lack of land, etc. But I fear it is too little too late. Esp. near rivers and lakes. One place I used to swim actually has feces floating in it in ths spring, toilet tissue snagged on branches and so on.
Some rivers are being cleaned up, but where are they putting the stuff they take out of them?

There are millions upon millions of miles of waterways. Many that place probably doesn't even know about.

This NESCP is supposed to have been founded to bring awareness in that area of the country. The situation you speak of sounds awful.

The organization is just to enlighten people in that area that there is a problem.
