Tomorrow January 9 is the much awaited Feast of the Black Nazarene. Devotees from all over the country and from all walks of life flock to Quiapo Church Manila to join the grand procession. To accomodate more people who want to go near or touch and kiss the Nazarene, the image is now transferred to Quirino Grandstand at Luneta Park. Series of activities would occur including the Divine Healing. Meanwhile a mass every hour is being conducted at the Quiapo church. Tomorrow morning the grand procession will take place. This is the biggest and the longest procession of the country. I have high regards for this devotees who are barefooted joining the procession, expressing their faith and thanking the Nazarene for answering their prayers of healing, orderly and peaceful lives. I didn't experience attending the procession but I do hear mass at Quiapo Church on Fridays and even on the Nazarene's feast day. I felt better everytime I participate hearing mass. I have prayers answered too. The strong faith being shown by the people is very timely for us Filipinos who are very much praying hard to God to spare our country for disasters and tragedies and for a peaceful and abundant living in 2010. Friends, have you experience participating in a grand procession like this? Kindly share. Thanks...

I have an officemate named Victor. He is named by her parents that way because they were victorious on some venture when he was born because they sought the help of the said saint. That officemate of mine, until now is also a devotee of the Nazarene, he goes there every year and battles the crowd just to touch the rope of the patron. He is very proud of his devotion. He brags about it regularly. But the problem is, that officemate of mine is so lazy in his job, loves to gossip, fights most of the time with his co-workers, an irresponsible husband, and so on. I hope the Nazarene will works miracles for him, he really needs it.
