How was the first week at school? Hope you all survived well! Next week will be easier! In my country, the school reopen after a long break of holidays. I noticed a lot of bloggers blog about their kids schooling life as the school is just started a week time. New students still need time to adjust themselves and so does my daughter. She did very well in her first day, no cry, no fuss but not so enjoy very much at school. Perhaps the first day in school was chaotic, a few kids cried so badly, teachers and students still need some time to settle down. I accompanied her by watching her played around with the Montessori tools and learning material. There is a kitchen center playset and a slide in the classroom. She was fine playing alone. Hope she can mix some new friends in the school soon! Do share here your experience as a new student! Or share about your kids experience!

I don't have a kid myself, but my sister's kids were back to school also. They enjoy their first day back to school, because they got friends, and they were excited about no - school on Friday, due to snowy day, and road hazard reason. I took off one day from work too.

Hi King, Thanks for your response. Soon you have your own kids, you will experience it. For senior students, I think they have no problem with the issue of going back to school after a long break. But for kids that are first time to school, zi think they need time to adapt the new enviroment. I will be happy to see snow, we have no snow in my country.

When my own children were young and each began school, the adjustments went well and it wasn't long before they made new friends. I think it helped that they'd gotten to know other new "learning settings" on a more limited basis prior to beginning school full time. :) Karen

I am happy that the holidays are all over. It is difficult to occupy the children free time when they are on school holidays. Now that the school has reopen for the first term I am so happy that I am back to my own now as my daughter is no longer nagging me to go out. Of course the kids are excited themselves to be back to school as part of their boredom is solved. My daughter is really looking forward to meeting all her classmates after more than a month of holidays.

Dear Vingyan, It is good to know that Yanyan handled well at her new school. Montessori is great! I believe she will make new friends soon. I remembered when I first enrolled my son to the kindergarten (nursery) which was just 8 houses away when he was 4+. My mum will accompanied him on first day. On the third day, my mum send him and go back home to do the house chores. She told him not to worry as she can hear him if he called coz it is just 8 houses away. He agreed and there on his schooling life started

Now-a-days kids are very active and they are getting adjusted to any sort of environments..Coming to my school days when i was admitted into kinder-garden teachers used to lock us in the classrooms and we used to cry looking at our parents through the windows..Teachers used to give some chocolates to make us calm..Its was really hectic situation for teachers to control kids..They require lots of patience to deal specially with small kids..

I still remember the first day I went to school, led by my sister. I was nervous on the first day and did not feel so good. It was really chaotic for me on the first few days. It is not only for the first day I went to school, but also the first day I went to work in a new place, as we have to get acquainted with people around us. It usually takes a few more days before we make some adjustment to ourselves and the new environment.

I recall my granddaughter quite often had qualms about making new friends with the new year. She had to travel to about three different grade schools. She would just be beside herself the last few weeks of summer and by afew weeks into the new school year she wouold be bringing new friends home.

Nervous and exciting.Being nervous is about the circumstance round me.As you know lots of people we don't know each other, teacher we are not sure whether they like us,also parents they can't look care us.Being exciting is about we can learn the knowledge in class. You know,we are going to the trip about study.Everyone wants to be the best here.
