A Hiatus Of Sorts

I have decided that I would take a hiatus of sorts from mylot. What that means is I may get online and respond to only one discussion, or I could respond to none. My inbox is a clutter, which I know if I take a hiatus it will only get worse, but I think I need to step back and just kind of enjoy my free time and then really think about whether I want to go for a second part time job or not.
So, I just thought I'd let all my mylot friends know that you may or may not see me around, but not to get offended if I respond to one person but not another, it's nothing personal.
Has anyone else felt they needed to take a step back from mylot this year?

I have significantly scaled back my myLot activity. I have three or four active discussions that I visit daily and I keep up with what notifications I have time for and that's it. I have too many other things going on.

I've kind of come back for right now. I guess I'll just mylot when I feel like it, or don't have anything else to do. But this year, I'm not going to stress myself over it... I have another site I'm interested in being active in, but even that one I'm not going to stress myself over. My aim is to clear out my inbox and gather folder and then maybe take an official week hiatus!

I have been concentrating my online time more on helium. At least I was until I got busy with offline stuff. I wanted to tell you to PM me with your Gather id.

Hi Somecowgirl,
I have been like this in the past 3 months, I come here every so often, just reading and rarely responding. Not that I've thought about taking a "hiatus", or maybe you can call it a "forced hiatus", coz I was a bit too occupied and I just can't think enough to give a sensible answer to any of the discussions. The most number of responses I could make was about 5 a day, and a some days had 0. But I still make it a point to take a peek here whenever I can because it's still my most favorite site. Yeah, Although we have different reasons, taking a break from myLot could be good for you.

Hi doryvien,
I have become more busy now, and so I suppose that could be part of the reason for my hiatus, but really I just think it's time I step back and have a bit of fun, and get some cleaning done! Sorry to say I don't think I've seen you here before, but maybe we can chat from time to time. I won't be on "full hiatus", I mean I'll still come here but maybe not everyday, and maybe not responding / commenting / discussing much.

Yes, I haven't been very active lately, maybe that's the reason why our paths haven't crossed until now. I want to be more visible again here but it just isn't possible at the moment..Sure, I look forward to seeing you here again even when we're both taking a few times away from myLot.

Oh Yes I went to my email today and I have 200 emails, so I'm turning notifies off and will turn them back on later. I may still be on here every little bit, but I'm not going to be here every day. Still got stuff to do, room to clean. Will talk to you later.!

Thanks for the heads up! I will be missing you. I have thought I needed a stand back from things before and sometimes it is for the best. I'm not ready for a break from myLot yet. I may come to the point where I am though. Take care and keep us updated.

I may be on here off and on, I'm just not sure yet. Maybe it's more like I won't be on as much every week, but we'll just have to see. I've felt very overwhelmed here before but never took a break, I don't feel too overwhelmed now but still kind of, so I thought this would be as good a time as any to "sort of" take a break as I've said...

That is understandable. Good luck with your endeavors. I do not post on mylot a huge amount, I do it when I get the urge to do so. I take time away from things I step back from mylot all the time but I never really post a huge amount either so it is not as much of a stepping back.

I can understand, When I first started this site I didn't have a job so I was all the time posting here. Now that I have a job I just prefer to kind of take more free time then being on here. Of course I love it here too.

I should too. I found that this has taken so much of my time. At first, I just wanted to surpass the count of the person who got me here. I've already passed my goal by about 200 counts. Yet, I still am at the same pace
Maybe when I start exercising and working out by next month, is when I take my hiatus.

I think that it is always a good idea to take a bit of a break. I'm not feeling overhwhelmed too terribly much now, but there was a time before I felt so overwhelmed here but didn't take a break. After all, though to many the money here is a great help, to most it's just "fun had" you know? well good luck on exercising.
