What a sad, sad, movie. As he said he was just an old piece of meat. It had Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei in it. I won't tell you the storyline but it is not helping my depression this winter. Some people need to cry out the other side of their depression. Get right down and set on the realism of it all. It is harsh. But then you come out of it and you look the positive in the face again and move on. This movie did that for me. Here's the link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1125849/
Any thoughts on sad movies? Can you handle them or do you not even want to go there?

I think Mickey Rourke captured the character perfectlyu, maybe because he was in the same situation before in his life, being a hot star in late 80s and then disappear to B movies. In terms of story, for me personally it is a little bit forgettable, maybe because for a sports movie, it doesn't have oomph and extravaganza factor like Rocky for example, but nonetheless it is a great movie about revival

I didn't think it was the greatest, just so sad. I wouldn't call it a revival movie. Thanks.

I hate sad movies. They really have an affect on me. If I'm already down..noway I'm watching a sad one. I hate the way it makes me feel when I watch one and I might even think about the movie for a coupke of days. I really need a comedy or a horror flick to get me through when I'm down. Take care.

It just depends on how I feel whether I go for the comedy or a sad one. Sometimes I just feel like I need to wallow a bit and cry. Other times I want to laugh and get to the other side.
