Everyone lately is being obsessed with the environment. Are you joining in on the craze? Are you using environmental safe cleaning products? Our house has changed a little. Showers are no more than 10 minutes. All cleaning products are environmental friendly. We are using the weird light bulbs, that I have no idea what they are called again. :)

We're collecting and re-using rainwater in barrels off the roof for use in the gardens. I grow my own vegetables so I'm not responsible for the amount of emissions created by trucks taking vegetables to markets. I have a compost bin for food scraps to help reduce landfill and also to create organic fertilizer for my garden. I recycle grey-water out of the laundry for the gardens. I recycle cardboard, bottles and aluminium cans. I also have the eco-friendly light bulbs.

I am not really going crazy about it. Sure I recycle and I try not to be wasteful. But I am not buying in to all the green products and things like that. If they are cheaper for me I will buy them, but I will not buy them just because they claim to be green. I have not bought any of those special light bulb because I hear they are easy to break and if you break one while it is still inside it is very hard to get out and dangerous. But I usually don't use any lights during the day, I let the light from the windows light my way.

Wow! It sounds like you're doing a great job with being "green". I wish I was as dedicated as you are! We have some of those weird light bulbs (I forget what they're called too lol), we recycle, and generally try to use as little resources as we can to get by. Although I have to admit, I LOVE my 45 minute hot showers! And most of everything that we do is also because.. it saves money, which always seems like a priority over 'saving the environment'.
